Age: Twenty-something
Concept: Chivalric Knight/Queen
Physical description: 5' 7", with waist length black hair, and grey-green eyes shot through with gold. She exudes a scent of floral sweetness deepened with an almost venomous incense. Unlike many of the Fairest, she is not so much slender or delicate as...sleek. Her skin seems almost to shimmer to Lost eyes, as if a light dusting of bronze-gold gilds her skin, or maybe lies just under it.
History
Current Activities: Aoife currently splits her time between trying to help changelings escape, and training them to take the fight to the Gentry. One of her lesser known pursuits is sniffing out those loyal to the Gentry, or in their service, and ensuring that they no longer trouble the Lost.
Background: Aoife was taken across the hedge to serve as a champion and companion to the son of a Gentry lord. She fought a good many duels against other Changeling champions, serving as proxies for the various Gentry who were too precious to risk themselves. As she came of maturity, the son she served became obsessed with her.
He'd been obsessed with his Champion before, and at first it seemed normal. As she was trained to be a companion as well, nothing was thought of it; until it became clear that the son was unwilling to lose her, doing everything in his power to keep her in Faerie. Eventually, he even did what he could to protect her from harm, impeding her job as his champion. This enraged his "father," Iofiel, Lord of Blades, also known as the Lord of Blades. Unwilling to let a mere changeling rip apart his kingdom, and all he'd managed to grab hold of and keep from the Lord and Ladies around him, he planned a way to keep her powerless.
Iofiel killed his son, and attempted to kill Aoife. She, however, with the help of her sword, drew his blood in his own house, preventing him from chasing her any further. He swore to kill her, telling her to run. And run she did, until she escaped the hedge.
Aoife does not remember much of her past before the Hedge, having traded most of her memories away, or lost them due to the pressures of being a Changeling.
Associations & Associates
Victor - A hunter sent to bring her back to her Keeper so she could be killed. Something she said or did to him convinced him of the rightness of her cause, and he saved her life instead.
