It looks like a nice enough place...

From the outside, the set of brownstone rowhouses in Cabbagetown don't stand out. They're well kept, with wrought iron fences holding in nicely maintained wildflower gardens that seem to bloom nightly. The windows are almost always heavily draped with antique velvet curtains, allowing it to quietly blend in with the other houses on its street.

Upon entering the "main entrance" (to which signs on the other two doors will conduct you) you are greeted by a beautiful woman in a severely tailored dress suit and a pair of shoes whose heels are about a half inch longer than what would be considered appropriate. She stands in a parlour, outfitted as one would expect for a Victorian sitting room and treats you with efficient custom.

"Good evening." she says, a heady scent of jasmine wafts off of her "I am Ms. Tuesday. Are you a member?"

Membership? This is a private club?

Yes. Membership is negotiated in person with the owner. The cost is variable, depending on the lifestyle of the applicant, their requirements, and the need for membership. Costs can vary from thousands of dollars a month to a simple promise of service.

Members Only

If you are one of the elite few who hold a membership to Betty's Tea House, you are admitted access to this home at all times and without question. Allow me to call for someone to help you with your bags and conduct you to the tea house's lounge.

Before entering the rest of the house, you're going to need this domino mask, made by hand in leather. Allow me to help you affix it to your face.

Oh. It's THAT type of club, is it?

Yes. Yes it is. The Lounge is a larger space that takes up the rest of the first floor. The Victorian look continues here, and the lights are always low. Scattered around the lounge are a series of sitting divans and couches. People read, quietly chat, play cards, backgammon or chess. It'd not be anything unusual save for the fact that everyone is masked, and scattered around the room there are various people clad in leather or PVC, in supplicant poses at the feet or on the laps of the other patrons.

We accept any and all sorts of sexual deviance within these walls as long as you're a consenting partcipant. On hand, we have staff who can for a fee help fufill your needs, beyond penatrative sex, should you not be able to find an accomodating patron.

Why doesn't *that* guy have a mask on?

The person you're referring to is the owner, Mister Wednesday. It's his home and his rules. If you ask him, he might say something trite like "I am wearing a mask". Or he may not. I'd avoid the subject all together if I were you. It looks like he's busy anyway.

Okay. So this is a sex bar?

More than that, really. These are people who are functional in every sense of the word, however they feel like they need *more* to their lives. They come here, in essence, to be with their own. There's a sense of community here, and an oath of safety and privacy. Those who come here to break either of those two things will end up having to deal with the owner.

What can I do here?

Anything you want as long as you keep it safe, sane and consensual. Get to know the people here but don't ever use your real name. Accept people's need for privacy and do not judge. There is no play in the lounge; for that, you're encouraged to go up to the private studios on the upper levels. The staff would be more than happy to provide you with the setting you need. Follow those rules, and you will enjoy your time. If you're here on your own, I can always make introductions.

Anything else?

We ask that you leave your problems at the door, and do not bring them in. If they follow of their own accord, they become our problem as well, as we don't brook uninvited guests.

If you're hungry: They keep a fully stocked kitchen and bar, so feel free to order some food or one of the craft brewery beers that they have on tap. They even have tea.

Above all else, relax. Welcome home. You're one of us, now.
