Physical description:
Black Tara dresses like her name - always in dark clothes, she favors greys and blacks that cover her from shoulder to toe. Almost never seen without her gloves, you know someone is about to have bad day when she takes them off. She has spiders permanently nesting in her hair, and trails cobwebs behind her when she walks. Faint burn scars can be seen when she bares her arms and throat.
Tara's mein is arachnid - she does not have extra limbs, but instead of the soft hair people have, she is covered with a tarantula's bristles. Her nails are extra sharp and durable, almost like a spider's mandibles. Like a spider, her eyes are bulging and bulbous, and when she blinks, she blinks four times.
As for her mask, she has exceptionally long limbs, a very narrow waist, but disproportionately large hips and torso.

Basic Timeline:
Tara emerged from the Hedge in 1999, with no real sense of how long she'd been gone, either in mortal time or fae reckoning. She was alone and trying to survive for six months until she was reunited with Nigel and Ann. They decided to spend the next eight years looking for the missing members of their motley, since Ann swore they had all escaped together, but had gotten separated in the Hedge. When they arrived in Santa Barbara in late 2007, they finally found Jack. Now, they're on the lookout for Raggedy Andy and the Toymaker.
Current Activities:
Tara lives now in the Freehold of Fire and Flood, also known as Santa Barbara, in an old Victorian mansion with Jack, Nigel and Ann. She also writes short horror stories under a pen name, which is how she manages to pay most of her bills. She also prepares for every holiday as if she was expecting a siege.

Rumors
Tara is single because she has a disturbing tendency to put her lovers in the hospital. This enforced celibacy can make her very cranky at times.
Tara was brought into Arcadia with her newborn baby. The baby was traded away for a pair of perfectly matched twins, and she's never gotten over the grief. It's one of the few things she can truly remember about Arcadia.
While most Venombites think their ability to poison others is a gift, Tara sees it more as a curse. She refuses to touch people she cares about, and always makes sure to cover herself completely when she dresses.
