Style

Sound

As eerie as techno/industrial can be, this band goes the extra step into a malevolent resonance that seems to offend the senses in almost pleasurable ways. Many have described their music as difficult to erase from their memories once heard. Never repetitive like trance and almost sing-songy enough to dance to, the overall sound can seem addicting to the naked ear.

Performances

In a word: disturbing. As if the music was not a spectacle enough, the dark shadows that constitute "S" and Spectre playing in against a black backdrop seem almost to be like two kabuki theater performers that are barely visible. Their motions are distorted and off-kilter, seeming to enrapture and draw in the viewer on a level that affects a sense of wrongness in the subconscious minds of witnesses. In the front is Emma Hart in a beacon of shimmering crimson that seems to almost light the room solely as most illumination is dimmed to the edges of the periphery of vision. Subtle illusions and special effects have been known to strain the eyes of the audience and even, in some cases, cause a viewer to note items of the performance later that they did not realize they were viewing during it. As if those factors were not enough, the band has been known to give erratic performances with improvisations and unexpected switches.

Overview

Unexpected and unknown, the members of this band have proven impossible to drag into the limelight. Journalists vanish, photographs prove overexposed and few people can ever seem to give a full description of any given members. They provide no identification and no real names, convincing the club or concert manager to allow them to play, collect their money and leave in a single, spontaneous night. All attempts at interviews have been refused and rumors about the band are spreading. They appear to well and truly be ghosts.
