Hedgebeast Companions are creatures that have come from the Hedge. The weaker ones (dots 1-3) will join in a Pledge with a Changeling in order to ensure mutual protection. Stronger ones (dots 4 & 5) don't need the protection of a Changeling.
Approval: Hedgebeast Companion is a Low Approval graduated cost merit.
