Who's Awake

The Morning is a loose circut of Spring Courtiers who all tend to be hard driving revellers and carousers. There isn't really any publicly known membership list per se, or a group to petition for membership. Those who are on the circut simply know their own. It's the group that meets for coffee after dancing all night while the proper suits go to work. It's the ones who walk out of the all nighter blinking at the unexpected sunlight. There are always those that claim to be Daybreakers that really aren't out there. But in true Spring fashion, most of the party elite just pat em on the head and keep moving.

Party's come and go, and the VIP Rooms fill ever and again with a litany of people, but some faces are always there. The story goes that only a few years ago the East Coast Spring party circuit started to really get thrum with life. DC, ATL, and Florida were putting out party after party and a group of Spring Courtiers started meeting for breakfast and chill time in the mornings. The early ones were Dane, Laurel Thorn, Manju, Lalita, and Aaron. From there, the idea just started spreading and the next thing you know, there's a group at every big Lost gather.

Rumors

• Dane formalized The Morning to spite Aaron. No one really knows why.
• Aaron formalized The Morning as a way to subtly corral Holly Poppet so she wouldn't wander off with whomever she'd met that night, or worse, with Dane or Valentine. Dane knows, and hasn't yet clued in Holly.
• Surprisingly, more then a few times, Winter Courtier Malic Stitch can be seen dragging in to a coffee shop to "Wake up" with the Morning. Rumor says he may actually be a unofficial member of the group. Who knows?
• The Morning has a strict code on what can and cannot be talked about during their gatherings. Those who fail to follow those rules are shunned entirely.
• When the 'party' has been in DC, Gryphon's been seen to hunch over her coffee squinting at Dane and her motley-mates the Twins grumbling about '@^%%^#$ Morning People!' and trying to not notice Laurel Thorn.
• In his song "Me Not You", when Joey Shears sings "everything's okay when the morning comes", he is referencing when he reunites with the group.
• Often times, much to the amusement of the other members of The Morning, Dane is often the first to nod off in the wee morning hours.
• After partying with Erised on the circuit in DC; The Morning can now be found partying in the West Village with frequency.
• The Morning is actually a drug cartel with business on both sides of The Hedge.
• The Morning is the true power behind the Spring Court.
• The Morning is crossing to other countries, via people such as Nick Vespa
• Those who meet the Dawn's Breaking seem to be populated entirely from the Spring Court, but Amaranth has been seen off and on sharing coffee with Erised when the sun begins to rise.
