Mask: Around 7ft, appears to be in his mid to late forties. He often wears motorcross style body armour and is never without several bags stuffed with 'useful' items.
Mein: Truly massive: Charlie stands almost 9 ft tall. Thick dark brown hair covers much of his body. He has a heavy set face, with a pronouced brow and heavy set jaw. His hedge spun body armour is made from thick woven vegetation bristling with thorns. Draped over his head and shoulders is a patch work fur hood.
Character Information
A regular at the goblin market outside Dunasheen for over 2 decades, Charlie is cantankerous, blunt spoken, fiercely independant and courtless. He is a skilled prospector and ventures into the hedge for all manner of things, from goblin fruits to hedge beasts and raw materials for crafters.
While Charlie generally maintains a gruff, grumpy demeanor most of the time, he is not as hard hearted as he makes out. He has been known to go out of his way to help changelings in dire straights or newly emerged from the hedge and is surprisingly generous for someone who has often lived hand to mouth on occasion.
Originally born in Edinburgh, Charlie moved to Dunasheen around five years ago.
Known History
Before being taken Charlie worked on his parents farm and claims to have escaped the hedge in the summer of 1975.

Background:
Charlie isn't hugely talkative when it comes to his past, but what little he has said seems to be true as far as anyone can tell.
He claims to have been born in 1947 on the outskirts of Livingston, West Lothian. From an early age he helped his parents around the farm. He was taken by the fae in the summer if 1968. It was 7 years before he emerged from the hedge near Edinburgh.
Charlie started venturing back into the hedge in order to make ends meat a few months after his return and has been doing so ever since.
Prospecting
Charlie has earned a reputation as a skilled and resourceful prospector. It is said that he can find practically anything in the hedge. In addition to staples such as goblin fruits, furs, tanned hides, antlers etc, he also comes across more exotic items fairly regularly. Examples include whole walnut shells, bloodsuckle vines, barghest teeth, merrow scales, ironwood, vileshrike feathers, harvestmen's silk and blood willow bark.
He trades his surplus goods for cash, finished goods (tools, clothes etc) and good quality food and beveridges.

Plato
Plato is a hedge beast, a large brown bear with a grey flecked fur and an age wrinkled snout. Charlie first met Plato while trying to escape from the hedge. How they came to be friends, he won't say, but they are clearly very loyal to each other.
Motley
Very recently Charlie joined a motley for the first time, a big step for someone who is slow to trust and very stubborn. The motley, The Self Preservation Society is essentially a mercantile alliance, the main activity of which is hedge prospecting and exploration.
