Mask: Medium height with mousy brown hair. Fairly nondescript other than he wears a lot of brown and tans and covers much of his exposed skin.
Mein: His skin seems to be translucent like frosted amber, complete with veins of throbbing brown. His hair is the same brown, but seems to float weightless. His eyes are faded orbs of ashen brown.
History
Chris was brought up strictly Catholic and even was schooled at a Catholic HS. His way of getting away from the suffocating atmosphere of the church was to read obscure books. While in college he kept up his Martial Arts as a vent for stress, irritation, etc. After all his parents had him going to Catholic U. so he couldn't experiment with things he might have wanted to like the occult and boys.
It was during one late night in the restricted section of the library that he was taken. In his durance, he was used as a test subject of curses and maledictions his Keeper was learning and inventing and was made to write down his experiences. When he behaved he was occasionally allowed to read the books of other before him. Chris learned slowly the ways of magic directed at him as well as the Catch to get out. Through the invocation of the Catch, he was able to ride his Keeper's dreams out through the Hedge and into bed next to his Fetch. The whole experience was much like getting flushed down the drain through shards of glass.
What happened next was a blur, but suffice it to say the Fetch was battered and bruised. Hurt so badly by Chris, he was put in a coma. By delving into the dreams of his fetch, he found that his Fetch was now in a Master's program to teach Psychology and his parents were dead. He quickly called 911 and formulated a lie that would help him and his Fetch. The Fetch now beaten beyond recognition was his cousin from Poland, Stan. With a large portion of the inheritance "Stan" was put in a hospice where he remains in a coma till such time a plot device wakes/kills him.
After a rough re-entry into humanity, Chris took rather well to the classes that his Fetch had been taking. He came to a better understanding of the feelings he had inside and his hate for "Stan" lessened and turned to pity. After all the Fetch was the soulless one. Right?
Time progressed and Chris took to going by his Confirmation name of Nicolas. The patron Saint of those in Purgatory. He integrated into the local Freehold and was hired on as a part time councilor at St. Jude's parochial school with a more steady job of part time fact checker and researcher. Even with the inheritance, comas are expensive. When a student or patient comes to him with nightmares or problems, he rides into the dreams to extract the problem or inflict new ones on those that deserve it. Always staying on the peripheral of things.
It was after defending a student that was coming to terms with his sexuality, that Nicolas got in to a conversation with Patrick MacRoche about what he did. After a long, and inebriated, talk about how Nicolas did what Pat did, only in dreams, that he joined the Clan as a cousin. Since then he's tried to keep up with them physically and the rest try and keep up with Nicolas' explanations. It was decided at some point Nicolas would have gotten his name changed to Caimen if it wasn't for all the paperwork.
Personality
For the most part Nicolas is a calm and gentle person. He does the tithing thing and brings in treats for his classes. He'll occasionally go out to dance clubs, but is more someone to go to the gay bar a bit up the road called De Lounge in Wheaton, MD. No one at the school knows about him obviously considering the fact that it is a Catholic School. Those in his psychiatric practice suspect, but honestly couldn't care less. He dates rarely, but when he does it is with passion. More than once though his temper has been the cause of a break up, which might be why he doesn't date much. He hates to hurt what and who he loves. If they hurt him though, they soon regret it.
