The man who now calls himself Cody Orcinus tore through the Hedge like a rampaging bear, causing (XXXXX: PC tie needed) to call him Kodiak. His suffering in Arcadia led him to the Summer Court, where he faithfully served until Adamant's Folly. When the true cost of his blind conviction became clear, he left the court in grief.
He spent the next five years (XXXXX: defaulting to mostly alone, with occasional exceptions: PC ties needed) as a Courtless vagabond, with those of his old Court remembering him fondly, yet respecting his decision.
One storm-wracked night in 2004, a chance meeting on a desolate shore would change his life, as he beheld the Lady of the Bitter Sea. While not the object of the other's seeking, their simular natures formed the basis for a strong friendship, and it was through her ministrations that his reflexive objections to the idea melted away, leading him to accept his true calling: in the Winter Court.
When Althea Sexton became the director of Driftwood, he naturally followed, and has served as a shield to the establishment and inhabitants ever since.

Note: Wiki still work in progress. Right now, I have all kinds of background ties available, from his time spent in Arcadia, to his time spent as a roaming knight of the Summer Court, to his Courtless years, to his new incarnation as a heartsore protector of the Winter Court.
