Cold Iron Gym

The Cold Iron Gym can be found just east of Omaha. Set up in the early 1980’s by The Captain it has been many things to from a place of refuge to as the name would imply a place for training your body.

There are two entrances and one exit only into the Gym – one main door a side door near the weights, and a one way exit near the fighting ring.

The Cold Iron Gym also serves as the Captains home and while any changeling by default is welcomed into the gym those who enter the actual residence of the Captain without invitation may find themselves kicked out. The gym generally serves as a place to relax and get out your aggressions in a controlled environment without worrying about who’s going to fuss. While contest and bragging is always allowed within its walls any fighting is limited to sports and never fatal.

Work the Mind, Work the Body, Work the Soul

Those who come to the gym welcomed usually by the Captain if he’s around otherwise there is an trainer who’s willing to set people up and allow them to relax until he’s back. There are many assorted exercise equipment, weights, training mats, and rings, along with assorted weapons and padded weapons to train with. Excusive to changelings is a few boarding rooms that is told to most mortals it’s meant for out of town fighters.

The Captain refuses to turn away any who come to him for training. From the strongest ogre of the summer, who could give him a run from his money, to the frailest wizened just hoping to have a chance to defend himself on the road. Usually he will spend at least the first day with a new student in an attempt to see where their skills lay and attempt to help them or have one of his trainers help continue him down the course. He does accept most forms of payments, but has been known to give people a break once in a while if their hard up for cash.
