The Legend of Dancing Jack
- The Un-named Queen: Rescued from privateers taking her back to her keeper, the Un-Named Queen was the changeling that Jack rescued as his first act after his escape from arcadia. Its said that she was the changeling that brought Jack to the spring court.
- Finding Harmony and Melody: Much like most things in his life, Jack's signature pistols came not from acts of a criminal bent (Or at least, no more then an englishman owning pistols). Another person adding to Jack's list of rescued changelings is the Wizened Soldier known only as 'Uvidimsya', rescued from a pack of Hedge-Wolves at running speed. As thanks, Uvidimsya provided our man Jack with a pair of these pistols, hand built in england. Jack has used them ever since.
- The Seven: The number of changelings Jack has assisted in their escape through the hedge to the human realm is currently said to stand at Seven. Two Wizened, Two Fairest, a Beast, an Ogre and a Darkling!
- Jack & Bram, A duet in Hobgoblin Major: One of the often thrown around stories of daring do of the Gilded Aspirants of the UK is the tale of Jack and Bram, ambushed by a tribe of hobgoblins in the Hedge. Sometimes, the story pits them against a handful or two. At others, hundreds. Its generally accepted that the real number was somewhere in between. Jack and Bram (often when drunk) argue over the total number of vanquished opponants whenever theres a lull in the bragging.
Quotes
"You don't know who -I- am? You poor little man. Just ask your 'Captain' who i am." - Jack, to Corkscrew Jhonny
"You find yourself in the presence of Margrave Jack, Dancing Guardian of the Brim. I am slave to no court and i am my own master! I'm as dusty as hell and DAMN proud of it!" - Jack, at a spring court 'come as you arnt' fancy dress party. He had in fact, rolled around in the dirt as his costume.
"I like to call him my protégé, but D.J. would be a big damn hero whether or not I'd found him. Still, can't say I ain't proud of him - Hero of ol' Fort Sod - You wanna hear a story about Jack?" - Brawlin' Bram
"What can I say about Dancing Jack that you haven't already heard, and don't already know? Well, in case someone out there is somehow ignorant enough not to have heard of this powerhouse, DJ is a big damn hero, big as a a tower an' twice as impressive, I tell yer! Damsels saved, lost causes championed, and he looks good while doing it. The man, the hero, the legend!" Sam
"As much as he and I disagree on his choice of weapon, as much as I am not as dramatic a person as he and as much as sometimes I wish he didn't encourage Sam so much... I must admit, we are frightfully lucky to have him." - Baroness Witte Wieven
