Character Information

Known History

Basic Timeline: Taken 1994 at age 20. 2002 escaped the hedge aged to 31.

Current Activities: Doing work off the books for wounds the Lost receive.

Merit Details: Mantel 3/Toxin Resistance

Background: A young med student whose life was taken away from him. Twenty two when he was taken, with a future set for him, everything changed when he put the wrong key into the wrong door. Chosen to deal with the organics of those Lost serving in Arcadia, Eugene had his weakness torn from him to make him a better doctor. Looking over many of the broken, and often hopeless bodies, he mended the wounds that the Gentry inflicted upon their slaves. In instances where the pain was too much, or the suffering was to long, the Doctor would allow those who suffered the most to pass on... and achieve a final freedom.

Just over a decade passed beyond the hedge, and the Doctor did his duties in almost automation. That was, of course, until the day he noticed his door was unlocked. Placing his altered fingers forward, he found that the box that he lived in never was truly locked. Was this chance? Was the Gentry looking to another time? Perhaps this was nothing more than a series of events that needed to be triggered. These thoughts pounded through the Doctors head as he walked out of his holding cell and towards the hedge... and found the smell of coffee. Memories flooded like a damn had been broken as the walk became a desperate run into the hedge.

The thorns ripped and tore into the flesh as he forced his way through, driven by thoughts of a happy home. Little did he know that the world had moved on without him. Now, situated with a small makeshift office, the Doctor does work off the books for people who may not exist to the rest of the world.

He does what he can, and tries to pull together the pieces of being Lost.

Quotes

"I can either make this quick, or painless... I can not do both."

"I do not fight the gentry, the same way as I do not fight rain. It happens, and I try to stay out of it. I hope you have sense to come out of the rain."

"Yes, the contracts are of the Gentry... how other way do we have to resist them? We must use their weapons... because ours serve as little purpose as a monkey wielding a stick."
