Overview
"Saving someone's life is like falling in love. You wonder if you become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. But taking credit when things go right doesn't work the other way." - Frank Pierce
Alias(es): Eve
Real Name: Evelyn Pierce
Age: 33
Concept: Healer, Paramedic and all around patch you up in a pinch girl.
Physical description: Evelyn Pierce looks like she's had one too many nights without sleep, one too many cups of coffee and one too few meals. Almost always bearing some sort of bruise or laceration, it's clear the woman doesn't have an easy life. Her skin is paper thin, ashen pale in colour and darkens to black beneath her eyes and the hollows of her cheeks. She's tall and long in body, nearly 5'10" in just her work shoes. But in that length it's as if she was pulled out like taffy and she's a bit too lanky for health. If she's not in her paramedic blues with a stethoscope around her throat, she's generally wearing ripped jeans and a dark shirt. The few times she gets dressed up it's all black softened by the occasional set of pinstripes.

Character Information
"It was the neighborhood I grew up in and where I worked most as a paramedic. And it held more ghosts per square foot than any other." - Frank Pierce
Bringing Out the Dead This is Eve. The information which follows gives you her history, but that trailer gives you her world, soul and theme. That is her on sanity's edge. Just take a peek.
Known History
Basic Timeline:
April 22nd, 1975 -- A screaming, bouncing, very cranky baby girl is born to Evelyn and Fredrick Passi in Magee Women's Hospital. She is named Victoria Passi and weighs a healthy 6 lbs, 7 ounces. The Passi family is overwhelmed with happiness as they start their way down the road of parenthood. Fredrick Passi is an EMT for the South Hills Medical Services and Evelyn Passi is a nurse at Magee Women's Hospital. Their already hectic lives just got a bit more busy and they couldn't be happier.
March 24th, 1986 -- Victoria gets to go on her first ambulance ride with her father through a program through school. She takes a day to watch what he does and cements the fact she's daddy's girl even further. That is the day she knew she was going to be a paramedic for the rest of her life.
June 2nd, 1993 -- Victoria Passi graduates high school. She signs up the very next day for the EMT training course at Allegheny Community College. She studies five days a week the entire summer to get her EMT certification by the fall.
September 10th, 1993 -- Victoria Passi finishes her classroom EMT training and is assigned to a preceptor by the name of James Walker in the Pittsburgh Emergency Medical Services. She is young, but she's good at what she does and after a few weeks on the job she is running most of the calls herself, much to her preceptor's surprise. She and James go for a drink after a 12 hour shift where she didn't need correction on a single call she ran.
November 30th, 1993 -- Victoria is released from her preceptor and made a full EMT. She remains working with the Pittsburgh EMS, separate from her father in the South Hills but along side one of her preferred partners, the very same James Walker whom was her preceptor. No longer student and teacher, James and Victoria decide to go for another drink. This one lasts until the dawn.
August 30th, 1995 -- Pittsburgh EMS services holds summer graduation for the new paramedics on it's staff. Victoria is among their number and right at the top of her class. James watches from the audience with proud eyes, especially now that they are evenly ranked in the EMS and dating should not be quite so much an issue.
December 12th, 1997 -- During a snowy night on top of Mount Washigton, James proposes to Victoria on one knee. She tearfully says yes and they kiss. He slides a gold ring with a blue diamond upon it over her finger. They then return to their bus, the radio screaming about another call and he figured he'd only have two minutes to stop on their route anyway.

Current Activities:
Eve is back to working for emergency medical services around Pittsburgh, though she's taken a position with a private company instead of the city to avoid interaction with James, her fetch, or her family.
Evelyn is also maneuvering among the fae of Pittsburgh to take the position of Winter Queen. She's not necessarily a political beast, but she is a protective one and most of her feels that the best way to take care of the lost of Pittsburgh is to hold some sort of power among them.
As ever, of course, Eve is also working as a medic at The Pit. She happily takes orders from Doctor Emil Zahne on what he and his patients need, or helps bring in patients that need assistance in being transported to the hospital. She's only a trained paramedic, but she understands the Lost and has been an asset to The Pit's staff for several years now.
Merit Details:
Background:
Motley
- Kilroy -- A strange pair to be in a motley, but then perhaps that's why it works out perfectly. Kilroy spends many of his days and nights patrolling the hedge which, more often than not, gets him wounded in someway. He finishes a patrol, comes out and Eve patches him back up while feeding him booze. It's not the healthiest relationship, but it works and they are dear friends because of it.
Allies
- Doctor Emil Zahne -- Though Eve wouldn't consider herself friends with Dr. Zahne, he has been her boss among the Lost for many years now and she trusts him implicitly. The good work she has seen him do on the minds of many mad Lost has made Eve almost worship him as a god of medicine and the mind. He is a savior of the Lost and if asked she is happy to let people know that.
- Tommy Blue -- A former patient and now worker/guard at The Pit, Eve still sees Tommy as a bit of a pseudo-daughter and child to be protected even if Tommy is infinitely more dangerous than Eve herself. A child with a gun is still a child with a gun, and though the Pit put Tommy back together better than anywhere else could, Eve worries dearly about what is left of the girl's heart or soul. Eve treads a very fine line between being over protective and forcing herself to step back from Tommy and let the girl be a grown up. It's a fight she probably won't win in the long run, but still she cares for Tommy very deeply.
- Gaius Arctorus -- Eve doesn't know King Arctorus all that well, but most recently he supported her most dearly at the gathering in Cleveland. She probably could not have gotten the Pit's newest patient out without him and she respects him deeply for that.
Enemies
- Kesper Cricketbane -- A man with no heart and even less soul, Eve met him at the gathering in Canada and has disliked him ever since. He goes above and beyond the supposed Summer call of duty and would clearly kill anyone who stands in his way whether they deserve it or not. She knows this is a man she must protect people against and will do so at all costs.
- The Unknown Quantity -- Though she's not really certain who might be her enemy or her friend after the gathering in Cleveland, she knows she's definitely made a few people hate her. Someone tried to kill her mad patient after it had been decided he would go back to The Pit. That person would have succeeded if Eve wasn't a trained paramedic. Does she have someone after her own throat now? She has no clue, but she wouldn't doubt it. Still, she will defend The Pit until the day she dies.

Quotes
- "All the spinelessness of an Emerald, all the mouth of a Iron, all the personality of the Ashen, and none of the foresight her own Court is known for. How she ever got across the Hedge is a mystery to me." -Kesper Cricketbane
- "You can't kill him! I don't care if he killed 10 people or 100, he isn't sane! Even the mortal courts don't kill the insane, they institutionalize them! We have a place! A recovery center! Let us take him, fix his mind, then you can talk about justice. He's not evil, just very, very broken. Just like your keeper broke you and mine broke me. That could have been us just as easily. Would you want to be killed for what your keeper did to you? I didn't think so." - Eve Pierce to the gathering at Cleveland
Rumors
- Not so much a rumor as the known truth, but it's probably getting passed around in differing forms, about what happened at the gathering at Cleveland. There was a completely mad Lost who killed at least ten people which are known. Once they captured him they were attempting to get information out of him and then probably destroy him when Eve charged in and insisted that he be given to The Pit to rehabilitate. She convinced enough people that it wasn't right to kill the totally insane but, while waiting, someone tried to kill the man again. He was technically dead, but Eve had her medic gear in the back of her SUV and she began CPR until her shock bag came. After working him for about a minute, she got him back to the land of the living. She was last seen being carried out of the gathering in his cage, kneeling over his body and helping him breathe in a bag. Kilroy was among those carrying the cage, as well as a mirror skin, a body guard, and Robin MacRoche.
