Concept: Girl scout, little girl in the woods, chained in ivy

Mask: A round-faced, sweet looking young woman, barely more than a child. Grey eyes wide with innocence and a big, sunny smile. Chestnut brown hair, like the color of autumn leaves, and rough skin. Always carries a swiss army knife.

Mien: Winter: Grey-tinted, barklike skin, rough twigs sprouting from her back and in her hair. A few leaves curled up and brown are stuck in her hair, and the bird's nest is empty. The Ivy wrapped around her legs and waist is still green however. Spring: Tiny, new green leaves have begun to sprout in Evie's hair. The dark circles under her eyes are less severe, and her bird's nest carries a small egg. Summer: Evie's green leaves are in full flowering, so to speak, and birds are commonly seen in her hair and about her person. Autumn: Evie's foliage begins to brown back to the color of her hair, setting off rich ambers and reds and firey oranges in the process.

Manner: Evie was very shy and naive before she was taken, and her durance only seemed to make that condition worse. She has a tendency to be afraid of things and people on first encountering, and there are some things she will not warm up to no matter how many times she sees them ( Fire, Axes, Woodchippers, Termites, Carpenter bees, Woodpeckers. Especially not woodpeckers.) With people, however, she warms up quickly and becomes a sweet, sunny creature, especially in the spring. Her mood often varies upon the seasons, the sun, and the enviornment around her.

Known History

Basic Timeline:

August 20, 1957 - Evangeline Sanderson is born in Tucker, GA.
July 15, 1972 - Evangeline is sent on a camping trip to North Georgia.
July 18, 1972 - Evangeline is taken by The Oak King and chained in Ivy, rooted into immobility beyond the hedge.
January 3rd, 2008 - Evie uproots and crawls back through the hedge, finding herself utterly lost.
January 4th, 1008 - Evie finds the lodge of Mallory Schadenfreude
January 8th, 2008 - Mallory Schadenfreude brings Evie back to her home of Atlanta and introduces her to the court there.

Current Activities: Evie has been staying in the guest room of Holly Poppett, earning her keep by cleaning house, doing dishes, and other little domestic duties, singing a cheery little tune as she does so. Birds seems to be more prevalent in the neighborhood, as if someone has been feeding them. On certain days, Evie also volunteers at places like the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the Yellow River Game Ranch.

Background:

Evangeline was once a sheltered, shy, lonely young girl who found a gangly, awkward sort of beauty in the two or three years before she was captures. This did not, of course, protect her from being labelled as a nerd and a dork and contant teasing from her peers.

On the camping trip with the young explorers where Evangeline was captured, she was actually approached by Thomas Graybeal, a handsome young man who quite nearly seduced poor, stuttering Evangeline. He persuaded her to meet him at the edge of the camp after Lights Out. Which of course, meant sneaking out of her bed, which happened to be the most dangerous and rebellious thing Evangeline had ever done in her life to date.

But Tommy Graybeal never showed up.

Finally realizing that she'd been stood up, Evangeline broke down and began to cry. After she'd done that for a while, Evangeline began to hear creaking noises in the trees around her. Now more frightened than sad, she fled the noises, not realizing she was running further into the woods and straight into the Hedge.

Holly Poppet - She's nice people. I like her.
Mallory Schadenfreude - He's been very kind to me. But sometimes I get the feeling that I've done something wrong and he's upset with me. I hope not.
Rocky - I like Rocky. He reminds me of Raggedy Andy! Or maybe a really big Oompa Loompa from that movie! Oh, what was it called...?

Yew - I'm not so sure he's nice people. I think he wants to eat me. I don't think I'd like being eaten.
Renn - Her fire worries me. Mallory says it's okay, but I'm not so sure
