Where she walks, pink-tinged flowers grow, the longer she stands in one place, the deeper pink they are, verging sometimes on scarlet. History
Basic Timeline:
1992: Stumbled out of the Hedge in Swindon, into the orchard from whence she'd been stolen. She makes her way north to Inverness, and attends the Goblin Market at Tomnahurich, where she meets Vladimir Karakov. He arranges a place for her to stay in Edinburgh, and after he helps her set up her new identity as Evie Greene, she takes a job at a garden centre.
1993: Evie becomes addicted to Glamour harvesting. One night, after a particularly nasty row with Vladimir, she's late coming home. He goes out to find her, and rescues her from being attacked by a victim of her harvesting. Evie works very hard, and with Vladimir's help, is able to break her addiction. She starts focusing more on her goblin fruit business, developing recipes for preserving hedgebounty.
1994: She begins to travel, first in the UK, but soon she's travelling further and further afield, selling her line of goblin fruit food items, starting with jams and preserves, but soon moving into the brewing and blending of beers and wines, infusing brandies, and other, more exotic intoxicants. In September, whilst enjoying a trip to Dunasheen, Vladimir proposes at the Market, and she accepts.
1995: Summer Solstice, Evie and Vladimir are married. Evie continues travelling, her business doing very well. Late in the year, Evie joins the Harvest Syndicate.
1996, onward: Still in development, and open for background ties!
Background:
No one knows when Evie was taken to Arcadia, but within five minutes of meeting her, anyone can tell you why. Even before her durance, she had a natural affinity for growing things... an affinity which drew the attention of the True Fae.
She doesn't talk about her fragmentary memories of Arcadia, or even what few memories she has of before... Evie doesn't focus on the past. No... from the moment she emerged from the Hedge, Evie has thrown herself headlong into the new life she has found with a passion and joie de vivre that some whisper will one day either burn out this bright spark, or bring her to a dire fate. Life is to short to waste on regrets, she says with a smile and a wink when such whispers reach her ears.
After Evie got her feet under her, so to speak, following her emergence from the Hedge in the early 1990s, she turned her back on the life from which she was she was stolen, and moved to Edinburgh, Scotland. Hearing about the Goblin Market at Tomnahurich, the young Evie went in search of answers to questions she couldn't even formulate. There, she met Vladimir Karakov, who decided - for reasons she couldn't quite understand - to help her.
With his help, Evie was able to establish herself in mundane society, as well as amongst the Changeling Freeholds, where her affinity for plants helped her become known as a merchant of Goblin Fruit, medicinal herbal tinctures, and exotic intoxicants. She settled in Edinburgh, but travelled extensively to vend in Goblin Markets, Winter Fairs, or even just roaming from Freehold to Freehold.
In time, Evie joined the Harvest Syndicate, first as a merchant, later as the Master of the Edinburgh Guildhouse, and today, she stands as a travelling envoy.
Current Activities: Evie still harvests Goblin Fruit and prepares them to withstand travel, tends a lovely garden from whence she harvest herbs and fruits she uses in her medicinal tinctures, salves and other supplies, as well as more exotic substances she blends to make wines, champagnes, absinthe, and other intoxicants.
She is known to be heavily involved with Oxfam, Farming Solutions, and several other charities devoted to both the environment and addressing the issue of world hunger. Just what sort of involvement she has is difficult to say. She also maintains close ties with the Harvest Syndicate, acting as a liaison with various Freeholds, as well as with the Tomnahurich Goblin Market.
When she finds the odd free moment, typically, she will spend it simply seeking out new experiences, wonders and the frail beauty of the world on this side of the Hedge.

- Vladimir Karakov - Vladimir restored my faith in fairy tales and happy endings. We met at the Goblin Market in Tomnahurich when I was so newly out of the Hedge the shiny hadn't worn off yet! Handsome, gallant, the consummate gentleman... how could I not fall for him completely right then and there? He's seen the best and the worst I have to offer and even through all that, on the summer solstice, 1995, he did me the honour of making me his wife.
- Stephen Daedalus - Vladimir introduced me to his old friend, Stephen, when we were dating. When I'm travelling on business and Vladimir thinks I ought to have someone looking after me, Stephen's our first call... after all, he was Vladimir's best man at our wedding!
- Thorn - Tucker Thorn was an angry young man when I met him... lucky for me! Saved my neck from an ugly band of Hobs some years back. I wouldn't advise crossing him, or someone in his charge... you might think time has mellowed him a bit, but he's learnt to focus his anger, like some sort of modern-day Templar.
- Nathaniel Fellows - Nathaniel is a charming gentleman, and always welcome for dinner in my home. I don't know what's going on between him and Stephen, but they've managed to leave it outside my home, for which I'm grateful.
