Forgemasters Union

The Forgemasters Union is designed to provide a certification of skilled competency in metal working. Union membership signifies to all potential clients that the holder can perform the requested metal working commissions with professionalism and skill. Forgemasters create everything from furniture to armor to weapons, but all of it is made with the understanding that they provide quality work, and deserve a fair price for their work.

Apprenticeship with an existing Forgemaster is a great way to justify and provide character ties when you decide to raise your Crafts and/or buy that "Metal Working" Specialty.

History

Formed in early 2001, the Forgemasters Union is an effort to organize those that craft metal for a living. It is a loose network of smiths who communicate amongst themselves to ensure that prices for their services are fairly set. In addition, they notify each other if a member is cheated out of an agreed upon price. There are no dues in the Union, just the willingness to refuse the provide services to those groups or individuals who have cheated fellow Forgemasters.

Members

Athanor - Autumn Court Elemental Fireheart, resides in The Freehold of the Seven Hills in Seattle, Washington. He is a weapon-maker, but is very selective about his Changeling clients.

Doctor Faust - Spring Court Wizened Chirurgeon, resides in The Asylum at the Mid-Land Crossroads in Midland, MI. Known more for his talents in robotics than traditional smithing, he still has a good reputation as a craftsman. He has even more of a reputation for his horrific bedside manner as a doctor.

Doctor Houx - Summer Court Wizened Artist, resides in the Heartland of Darkness, in Bloomington, Indiana. A Fetchsmith (roboticist), Ringsmith, and Swordsmith, this Red Wizard is also a computer programmer and general mad scientist. (played by Fancy Dan)

Johnny "The Wrench" Nelson - A member of The Tolltaker Knighthood, The Wrench has been their armor and gunsmith for some years now. It is said he also makes more special items but none know for sure or they are not telling. He also freelances his work to those that can meet his prices or terms. (played by Byron McCullough)

Nilbog Talo-Brax - Summer Court Wizened Smith, resides in TBA in Sacramento, CA. Custom weapons enhancements, intricate armor or wildly conceived contraptions this angry little git can do it all. That's if you can understand what hes saying.

Renn - Autumn Court Wizened Artist/Smith, resides in the Ring of Roses in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a precious metalsmith, her flesh scarred from flame and embedded with pools of gold, silver, bronze, copper, and brass. She doesn't show much emotion in her face, but her jewelry almost seems to flow and shine with its own.

Wayland Smith - Summer Court Wizened Smith, resides in the Fen of Brambles Freehold in Tampa, FL. Known widely as a legendary worker of metal (Fame 3)
