History
The Golden Triangle consists of Columbus, West Point, and Starkville, three towns located in Northeast Mississippi, some 30 miles west of the Alabama State Line. The most prominent landmark is Mississippi State University.
The Legend of The Golden Triangle
The legend of the Golden Triangle states that it was once a physical object used to embody the pledges of mutual protection promised between the original three Motleys that inhabited the area. It is said that they took turns ruling the area, and the actual Golden Triangle also stood as a mantle of leadership. They are rumored to follow courts that were not based on the power of the seasons. Regardless of the validity of such claims, the original motleys survived, adding and losing members, and maintained well-kept Trods throughout the state. Unfortunately, no one knows what became of the original Motleys. It is believed that they disappeared about the same time as the Kudzu plant finally migrated into the Hedge. Some say that they banded together to fight off the Gentry in a fatalistic “last stand”. Others claim that they lost their way in the Hedge when their Trods became hidden by the Kudzu. Still, a few whisper that they fell victim to something far older and more sinister that had slumbered in the land, long before the white man came. Regardless, most any significant knowledge about their existence is only attainable through negotiations with the Goblins, and even then it is of questionable worth.
Modern Day
Nowadays, the Changeling population tends to ebb and flow, like the tides. While stability is sought for, it has proven difficult to establish and maintain a clearly defined Freehold. This is mainly due to the lack of devotion of many of the inhabitants, and their propensity to seek out “greener pastures”. To live here is to dedicate one’s self to hard work. Promises are NOT meant to be broken (though promise-breakers are). And danger waits just around the next wrong move.

Prominent Locations
Mississippi State University
MSU is one of the largest Land-Grant Univirsities in the United States. While it only commands a campous roughly 1/5 of the size of Duke university, it more then makes up for in student foressts, cattel land, and semmingly never ending feilds of crops used for reseach and development. The school's main atractions are the Arggriculture, Enginering, and Archetecture programs, but boasts first rait Art and Computer programes, however littel that funding maybe.
The MSU library is considered one of the largest in the state, as well a great place to research almost any topic.
The Cotton District
The Cotton District of Starkville is an upscale part of town. Over-priced apartments and trendy restaurants and bars are the trademark of the Cotton District.
Patchworks - Malic Stitch's small clothing shop. While this shop is a very low-key local buisness to the mundane world, to the changeling community, Patchworks is the famous shop where Malic Stitch and his partner Phebie Collins create their famous hedgespun designs.
The Hedge
Trods
Existing Trods can be maintained with steady effort, but new Trods can only be formed during the winter months. It is during this time that the Kudzu in the Hedge slows its rampant growth to more easily allow for trailblazing. During the other 3 seasons, the Kudzu presence inflicts a -1 die penalty for navigating “off the path” in the Hedge. This effect exists within the boundary of this VSS’s Domain (MS-001-D) and further at the Regional Storyteller’s discretion.
