Current Activities: GB is a Police Officer for the city of Colorado Springs. She offers her services as guardian to any who have need, both human and Changeling alike.

Background:

June 4th 1979: Born to a middle-class family in Colorado Springs. Loving, fun background. Parents only had girls, so Georgina, the oldest of three, was the surrogate son in some ways. Father passed on love of basketball, teaching her all about the game from early on. Some of her fondest memories were sitting on his knee, watching the NBA Finals and squeaking about some team or another.

1987: Joins her first basketball team, discovers she really has a talent for it, and becomes hooked, not just to watching the sport anymore but playing it too. A fierce competitor, she is a leader from early on, taking charge of the team, and often taking herself too seriously. But her father remembers to pop her bubble from time to time, so she doesn’t get too full of herself. This helps her grow into not only a strong young woman, but a grounded one, with an eye for protecting those she leads. 1994 - May 1997: Starts high school basketball, and makes the varsity team almost immediately. Scouts begin courting her for their college teams, and soon it’s apparent that Georgina will have a bright future in front of her with her pick of schools. Unfortunately shortly before Graduation, after a rough and tumble sibling quarrel, her younger sister, jealous of Georgina, and angry at her, makes a wish to the stars that her big sister go away sooner than later. The Others hear, and after seeing the tall, powerful girl, decide to grant the younger of the siblings her wish.

And so, not long after Graduation, Georgina is lured through the steam of her locker room showers, and finds herself suddenly blinded, stumbling across a veil of stinging fog and into the loving hands of the Lady of War. The tall, fit girl is swept away immediately, and impressed into service, her strength intended for her armies.

Arcadia Time: Georgina is experimented upon, given noxious potions and stretched on a rack past her body’s limits. She is trained for a war machine, given no quarter and fed only brutality daily. As a result of this, Georgina begins to change, turning fierce, and hardened, her Ogre nature coming out through the treatment she receives. Survival and supremacy on the battlefield her only desires, she becomes Gargantuan, a hulking physical juggernaut called the Tower, a creation made to tear through her Gentry’s enemies at his whim. And so she does, using her size and the poisonous blood in her veins to guide her army to victory. This lethal combination is a dual edged sword, however, and little does she know that the very thing that grants her power is the thing that will one day kill her. Poison, after all, works both ways, and this poison is no different.

Her Lady Gentry, the very Incarnation of War, proves a charismatic, if often brutal, Keeper. She encourages and terrifies her warriors at the same time, testing and guiding them toward greatness. In her usual style, she would often gift items to her favored creations that would both help them, and torment them, and the Tower was no different. One day before a battle, the Lady of War gave unto this beast a tiny arrowhead. At first the Tower scoffed at the small artifact, but quickly learned of its power. Her destructive fists become even more so, though with it, as with so many of her Keeper's gifts, came a terrible price; In battle it would devour her life power bit by bit, harming even as it helped, and more often than not, the Tower crawled out of the battlefield, victorious, but nearly dead, realizing that this was just one of many of her Keeper's tests, meant to see just what her pets could survive, and not much caring if they didn't.

Years passed, and Georgina would have entirely lost herself, but for the presence of her comrades in arms, and the memory of a family’s love that she had lost. Rage and power fueled her, keeping her alive through many wars, and showing her to be a force to be reckoned with, tearing through her enemies like paper. Until…

It was a brutal battle, most of her Keeper’s forces lay broken and dying on fields of shining, opalescent flowers, a beautiful scene marred forever by death and suffering. Wounded, nearly dead herself, Georgina spotted a fellow soldier deserting the battlefield, running for the thick underbrush at its edges. Cluing in on the action, she hefted herself to her feet, stumbling as quickly as she could to escape both the enemy soldiers who would certainly kill her, and the Gentry that would surely want her back. She plunged into the Hedge, and, fueled by adrenaline and fear, began dragging her way through it, fighting through the clawing thorns and pitfalls with a fury born of those who would never abandon survival. Hints of memory tease her, driving her on; smells, sounds, the sight of her mother and sisters, the perfect three-pointer, her father teaching her how to juke an opponent, her first A on a math quiz, first kiss. It seems like an age, but after the interminable battle she bursts forth, using her memory to claw her way free, latching to what once was and hoping against hope that she’d find it once freed.

January 2005 – Present: Georgina, finding herself on the other side, knows that she requires healing, and urgently. Sheer determination and faith keeps her moving, heading as far away from the place of her escape as possible, and, after a day full of walking, she finds a door to the hedge and enters again, starting a fire among the hedge thorns to set a signal. This arduous task uses her final stores of energy, and as she finally passes to unconsciousness, she prays to whatever God exists that friends will find her, rather than foes.

Mr. Rowan, an Elemental Woodblood of the Autumn Court, finds her and brings her to a place called “The Bar: for healing and care. The mess she makes upon waking is prodigious, as she comes into consciousness in full panicked battle mode, ready to defend herself. The locals put her down with some effort, calming her, and the Winter Court owner, Mr. Lake, offers her a job to pay off the debts of healing and getting the place fixed. Here too, Mr. Ambrose, a wealthy and powerful merchant, helps her find a new identity, warning her that her old life was probably taken over by a thing called a Fetch. It takes time, but her clarity strengthens as does her loyalty to the Lost of Colorado Springs. She swears to herself to rise over her monstrous past in Arcadia, putting her skills to good use protecting both the city, and its Lost.

Promises made, she puts up to become a police officer, joining the Academy as an eager student, and manages to pass with flying colors. She also networks, finding Changeling societies that best represent her will to guard the Lost as a whole with honor, and through this finds Stephen Daedalus, the Fairest that would help her join the Sacred Band. It is a hard sell, as she is an ogre, but through repeated efforts shown to protect her city, and others, as well as her tremendous stature, she finally proves herself. Daedalus helps bring her over into its ranks after saving a child from a hedgebeast that was repeatedly stealing ensorcelled humans into Faerie for its food. And now a full Aspirant, set into place to protect those she cares for, she turns to the future, ready to take all comers with the glorious rage of a true defender.

But what of her fetch, and her family? As the stories go, GB once tried to find her family, but returned from her quest, shaken and unwilling to speak of the experience. Some say she flew into a rage, killing both her family and her Fetch. Others conjecture that she may have been unable to find them, her family dead, and her fetch long gone. Regardless, none are aware of just how the Ogre dealt with her past save GB herself.

The truth? Georgina wanted to find her family, and her Fetch, longing to receive both retribution, and to regain the love of her parents and sisters. But after she found them, she discovered that her Fetch was alive and well in her place, and looking well enough like the old her that she knew at that very moment, that if she killed it, she would be doing her family great harm. So much harm, in fact, that the righteous warrior she was couldn’t justify stealing her family’s loved one, even a fake. And so, with a leaden heart, she gave up the dream of spilling her Fetch’s blood for her family’s happiness, and moved on with her own new life as a defender of her new society, one that truly needed her. She is alone now, but for her Lost compatriots, and so shall she remain.

Rumors

  • GB would sell out any Lost to protect her beloved humanity.
  • She crawled on hands and knees before Daedalus to get into the Sacred Band.
  • The Tower caused great pain and suffering while in Arcadia, there are many on this side who would see her fall.
  • Many of the drugs given GB while she was in Faerie damaged her health. Every time she grows, they spread through her system, bringing her closer to death. One day, she will simply fall over dead, with little to explain why.
  • GB is a Klondike bar-hatin' Loyalist with no love or dance in her heart.
