"To they own Self be True" - Character Info

“Quote” -

Entitlement: ...

Keeper: The Marquis of the Myriad Cast in Mockery

Fetch: None

Location: Rome, Georgia

Quote: ""

Mask: Garin appears to be a young man out of his time, dressed in "All American" clean cut clothing from the 1940's and 1950's, which provide a clear contrast to his slightly Austrian-German speech pattern. Friendly and outgoing he always has time to listen, and it is said that: "He has one of those faces that makes a man feel like he can tell him anything". He always smells nice, be it that one fragrance you can smell across the bar over all others, or when you wake up next to him the next morning or just having coffee on a cold winters afternoon, no matter what he is doing his smell never leaves you wishing he would take a shower.

Mien: Garin's mien is much like his Mask, clean cut and very "Boy Next Door", with subtle changes to reflect the alterations that Arcadia and his Keeper imposed upon him, his feature sharpen and become more fae, his hair seems to sit in just that perfect way, and his skin takes on the tone of a rich ivory. His whole body seems to exude a rich masculine smell that is tempered with an undercurrent of softness and sorrow.

"Begin at the Beguine" - Common Knowledge

This is the only section of this wiki page that is common, in-character knowledge.

Garin was born in Austria sometime in 1926 to a upper middle class family who were very encouraging, loving and understanding of their children and outgoing with the rest of the world. It is known that he spent time in a Concentration Camp which is all he will share about the experience, and later escaped in 1945 with the person he will only refer to as the "Love of his Life". He was taken by the Others in 1946 while traveling to reunite with his love after a brief time visiting his family. He returned in 2000 to find the world he knew changed, maps redrawn, his parents dead, his sisters old and dying and the "Love of his Life" being laid to his final rest surrounded by his family.

What little he remembers or will speak of about his time if Faerie is painful for him, and he likens it to his time in the Concentration Camps under the Nazi occupation of Europe. His keeper The Marquis of the Myriad Cast in Mockery, who he refers to as "The Pretender", kept him and others as living Incense, fragrances to enliven the senses and entertain his guests, the pure essence of hope, dreams, pains, and entire lives of mankind filling the rooms of his abode. He escaped to find his love, the memory of their time together pulling him back across the hedge hoping for the reunion that was taken from them by the inhumanity of another.

Since his return, Garin has briefly traveled the world and seen that even though time has past mankind is still cruel, and monstrous to those around him. He has also seen the spark of humanity in each and every person he has met, and knows that it only requires a little encouragement to bring out the good in people. Finding himself alone, without family or friends or loved ones, he has set himself the task of attempting to counteract the evil that has crept into the world around him, an evil he was not truly aware of until he was taken, first by the Nazi's and then by the Dowager. Taking the money his has inherited from as the last surviving member of his family, he works as a philanthropists, and is currently working at getting a foundation off the ground to help those who suffer at the hands of their fellow man, or at the hands of other beings who stalk the secret places of the world.

Garin is very committed to the ideals of the Spring Court, which he sees as a affirmation of life and not allowing the wrongs done by others to twist you into something less, something that does not enjoy life to its fullest. Since his return he has thrown himself into the Spring Court and is seen as a Face to Watch within the Court of Desire and has worked hard to help the Lost adopt his 'Live as if their is No Tomorrow' attitude and make the most of the lives that are once again their own.
