Personality: Granite or Joe Stone to use his favourite alias is a stubborn as the stone he resembles, coarse humour and bad taste jokes are this changeling’s forte and he has no respect for authority in any form.
Physical description:
Granite is a huge imposing ogre with a famously cantankerous nature, his thick grey skin would not look out of place on a rhinoceros and his short spiky hair erupts like coarse grass on a rocky hillside.
He towers near seven feet tall and dresses in worn hedgespun leather armour with spiked metal helm gloves and boots eternally covered in dust and grime.
Mortal Seeming: Joe Stone is a brawny construction worker, he looks around thirty with weatherworn skin thinning hair and eternal stubble. His clothes and skin always seem to be covered with plaster dust and spattered with other muck giving him a greyish hue. He wears heavy construction gear with cement spattered hardhat and steel toecapped boots and a pair of well worn leather gloves stuffed into his belt.
Known History
Granite came out of the hedge around 1988, since then he has made something of a name for himself as a thug and wildly unpredictable and cranky individual.
He is one of the few members of the summer court not to side with Ember Jack and join him on his mad crusade and he was an outspoken opponent of the former summer lord.
When Ember Jack declared ‘summer would rein eternal in the valley’ Granite denounced him as a ‘total nut job’ and refused to have anything to do with him.
During the conflict that followed Granite came to the defence of the freehold and held the line when many others fled. When numbers dwindled and the freehold became indefensible he abandoned it for his own hidden hideout where he remains to this day.
