Seeming Description:
In Arcadia Gregor's Keeper would shift and change his form to match the amuzements they requiered. Most often he was forged into the shape of a giant white bear, so that the blood from his baiting would show all the better. Now that he has escaped, Gregor's (mostly) human form is large and slightly hunched over. He has white fur on his head, arms and back. His face is slightly longer than it should be, reflecting a snout to match his clawed hands. Hanging from his arms are the Chains placed on him by his captors. He's never been able to cut them off.

Mask Description:
A large, fuzzy man who looks far older than he is. Years of abuse by his Keeper and His guests have scarred and broken Gregor in every physical way. His nose looks as though it has been broken and reset dozens of time. The hair on his head, face and arms reveals his true nature: It is stark white to match the fur of his Seeming. He is never seen without what look like dog choke chains wrapped around his forearms.

Known History

Basic Timeline:

1982- Gregor's sister, Lily, is born in San Diego.
1984- Greggory is born.
1989- His parents go through a divorce, with a nasty custody battle. The children end up moving around a lot, not only between their parents, but handed off to grandparents and other family members.
1996- Gregory's father moves to Chicago, deciding to leave the children with their mother. Their lives begin to get stable again.
1997- Lily starts collectiong silly japanese magazines and watching bad cartoons.
2000- In an attempt to piss of his sister, Gregory gets mom to let him start taking machine shop classes at the local comunity college. He frequently brings home angry metal music to play while hammering away on his anvil.
2001- Lily starts collecting really creepy dolls.
2002- Gregory whitnesses strange people grab Lily and charge off into the Hedge with her. He chases after into the hedge and gets lost among the thorns. He wonders the Hedge for an unknown amount of time before being found by a group of Hobgoblins. They clap into his Chains and drag him off to be sold at the local Goblin Market.
- Gregor is purchased by his Fae Keeper for a length of string and three strands of golden hair. He spends the next 2 years being used as entertainment for his partying master. When not being beaten and baited Gregor was chained to an anvil and forced to forge chains to imprison other humans.
- While working on an anvil at a Goblin market, making chains and plates for his master to sell, Gregor sees his sister. He uses his tools to break the chain holding him to the anvil, grabs his sister, and runs into the Hedge.
2005- When they return through the Hedge they find that a Fetch had been left Lily's keeper. This fetch had destroyed everything she had worked so hard to accomplish in her life. After learning of her wrecked life, Gregor goes with Lily to her fetches house and helps to steal many of her most treasured possessions, including Lily's most loved dolls.
Gregory clings to Lily as she starts her life over in Boise, Idaho. While Lily tries to restart the life she lost, Gregor watches from behind her, making sure she is never taken again. He gets a job at a local dance club as a bouncer so he can keep other people safe too.

Background:
Bear-baiting: In its best-known form, arenas for this purpose were called bear-gardens, consisting of a circular high fenced area, the "pit", and raised seating for spectators. A post would be set in the ground towards the edge of the pit and the bear chained to it, either by the leg or neck. A number of well-trained hunting dogs would then be set on it, being replaced as they tired or were wounded or killed.

Gregor spent his human life in the shadow of his sister. She was smarter, older, prettier... and never had time to dedicate to her adoring brother. When his parents got divorsed Gregory grew much more attached to the only stable person in his life: his sister. He did anything he could to get her attention. He discovered a talent for metal working and started making her jewelry and other little trinkets in an attemt to get her attention. Then they took her. It was sheer luck that Gregory was nearby when it happened. He saw Lily grabbed by some strange men and pulled off into some nearby bushes. Fearing rape or worse, Gregory charged into the bushes after them. He found himself lost in an endless maze of thorn bushes and clinging vines. Not to be discouraged, Gregory searched for his sister. The Hobgoblins found him first.

The goblins found Gregory bleeding and lost in the Hedge. It was no problem for them to get the jump on a hapless human and clap chains on him. Gregory found himself being dragged through the underbrush by strange creatures. It did not take long for them to drag Gregory to the blocks and have him up on display with the rest of the slaves. Gregory didn't know what to make of the strange creatures he was chained up with. Some had leaves in stead of hair, others were tiny and looked to be made of mostly shadows. The one thing they all had in comon was their fear of the buyers. Arrayed around the stage, and walking along the chain lines were beings of supreme horror and power. The True Fae had come to market, in search of fresh toys.

Gregory was purchased by a Tall and beautiful creature. The Keeper paid for Gregory and then handed him off to it's kennel keeper. Gregory was dragged off stage and marched through the Hedge again for what seemed like weeks. When they finally arrived in Arcadia it was to be locked up in a cage with a number of other animals. Dogs, lions, bears, and even a dragon were all caged nearby. Fed raw meat and water from a trough, Gregory finally game to understand what had happened to him.

Gregory's new home was always cold. His keeper kept the place in a constant state of winter. Within a few days of shivering in the kennels, Gregorys body began to change. Thick white fur sprouted from his exposed skin. He started to gain large amounts of blubber from the raw meet he was fed, and over time began to look less and less like a human, and more like a beast. After weeks of painful changing and shifting, Gregory was dragged from his pen and chain to a post in the center of a round areana. He wasn't sure what was happening until the dogs we let in. The baiting lasted for hours. Gregory managed to kill a few dogs, but they just kept letting more in. And all the while the Ice Dutches watched with satisfaction. Her new toy was performing well.

After the fights, to reward her new pet, Gregory was chained to her coach. While his body healed from the bites and breaks the dogs gave him, he was forced to pull her coach through the snow and ice to wherever she wished. Sometimes to visit other Fae in far off places, sometimes to take her and her most recent trist to a secluded spot and watch as she took her pleasure in various unnatual and no doubt painful way. It was when he wasnt pulling the coach that Gregory get his rest. chained as he was, he couldn't go anywhere, but while she was otherwise occupied, Gregory could sit his hulking mass and sleep in reletive peace. His body had changed to match the landscape he pulled through. A giant polar bear could stand the cold as well as the labor required.

But is break was not ment to last. Once his body was healed, and his shape defined, Gregory was again chained in the arena. For two years this cycle continued. Beaten and bloody from the fights, he would be lashed to the coach and pull until his body was healed, then back to the pit he went. At one point his Mistress learned of his talent for working with metal, and so an anvil and kiln were added to the weight of the coach. While she was occupied by her various frivolities, Gregory was told to craft. No more gentle resting in the soft snow. Now his every waking moment was spent in service to his Keeper, either fighting in her pits, pulling her coach, or crafting metal jewelry and other artifacts for her delight. Over time, Gregor made deals with the metal to make his work easier, and Stone to give him strength to accomplish his tasks. But it was never enough.

After years of service and pain, Gregor found himself back in the Goblin Market he had been purchased at so long ago. He had pulled the Coach full of metal wears so his Keeper could trade his work for new slaves. While licking his wounds and enjoying a brief repreave while his Keeper haggled over price, Gregor saw something he'd never hoped to see again. There, hiding behind a booth, trying to steal a bit of food, was his sister, Lily.

Hope flared in his heart once again. She was alive! And FREE. With his keeper distracted, Gregor knew this may be his only chance. Calling to task his Contracts with Stone and Steal, Gregor rent the mettle harness of the coach, pulled his chains from their mountings, and charged head long toward his sister. The prospect of a rampaging polar bear kept most people out of his way, and he made it to Lily in 3 swift bounds. Not knowing what else to do, he snatched her up like a doll and ran charged into the brambles of the Hedge.

It's been a year now since he broke free and escaped with his sister. His time in Arcadia has forever changed his view of the world. The snow from Her kingdom still clings to his fur sometimes... a reminder of the endless winter he escaped. He swears to never again fail in his protection of his sister, and is always looking over his shoulder for his Keeper. Sure that some day he'll here the crack of the whip and the cheer of the crowds.
