Background:
Harley was born in the mid 60s thou you would never know it to look at her. Always fair and always with a distant look on her face she flowed through life like a cool spring wind following a stream. After a uneventful childhood Harley was In school for modeling and was home for the summer. Her parents had decided on a summer trip with the family who never really bothered with things like love or affection.
Her father was a Well to do business man and her mother was a high level executive, both had little time for their 2.5 kids and the white picket fence. Harley was the .5 child in that she was never all there Harley was always lost in her dreams of faraway places, all through her childhood it seemed that the one thing that would make her happy was to just sit and stare into a bottomless pit that only she could see. Even then it was like she was just waiting for someone or something to come and take her to a place where she would know her "true self". After coming to a rest stop outside of Watertown NY, Harley not paying any attention to what was going on around her as per the norm wandered off into the woods following the smell of wild flowers and fresh air. She was known for being absent minded which seemed to be ok with the rest of the family of spoiled children it meant more attention for them.
After only a short time Harley found herself lost it the forest, thou she did not seem to mind She just continued wandering with the aimlessness of a day dream. Back at the car her family and her fetch were driving away to a untimely end as the bridge only a few miles down the road would soon deliver the car to the rocks below as it collapses under its own weight. Things like this just seemed to happen to Harley she always just seemed to be in the right place at the right time, this time was no different. The loyalist that had delivered the fetch finally found the wondering beauty just feet from the door to the hedge. she stopped just before it as if waiting for it to open. The loyalist had never seen anything like this in his life he opened the door to the hedge and she walk through without batting an eye. Her absent mind lost in the smell of flowers and soft music hanging in the air gave no notis to the thorns striping away her humanity till she was left with only what she now refers to as her true self. It was only a few hours of wandering before chance smiled at her once more as a wondering Fae happened upon the loyalist of his enemy and with a quickness only dreamed of by mortal eyes he removed the loyalist from his lands. The Fae that found her enchanted her eyes and led her down a path that would give her everything she could ever want, And then take from her everything she has. She found his castle and to her it looked as she had dreamed a fairy castle would look, not knowing that it was only a dream in itself. for months She wander the halls of the seemingly never ending castle until the Fae finally showed himself to her. It was then She meet her "Beautiful Hate" that is the only name she has ever used to describe him. No one knows who the Fae was or how it is that Harley is no longer with him. She has only ever said that Her Beautiful Hate is there an one day she will kill him. That is all she has ever said about her time in the hedge is that she was tormented by her Beautiful Hate.
Fae are not all bad in that they have moments of generosity and kindness that is why Harley hated this Fae with every part of her being. It was not the yelling or the painfull wardrobe, it was not knowing what was was really going on. However the wheels were in motion and could
not be stopped. The master of the loyalist Harley's hate had dispatched was on the move and seeking revenge like a scorned child. Then the day came that the Fae sent his toy away to the thorns to let fate diside what to do. The raid came with little notis and swept through the castle like a storm. It was then Harley's Fae master full or jealous rage declared
"If he could not enjoy her no other Fae would". Harley was sent back to the thorns with a promise that one day he would come back for her and take her back.
If you where to ask Harley about her time in the hedge the only reply you would get is a distant stare for a few moments and the she would seem to snap back to the real world like you had never asked the question.
