Physical description:

  • Mask: 5'11",160 ,slim build, black hair, brown eyes, tan skin has an elegant manner about him. Normally seen wearing jeans and a embroidered shirt. Even when in mundane clothing, he will tend to carry a small curved ornate knife on him.
  • Mein: 6'1",170, His skin darkens to a deep olive tan. When dealing with the fae, or when on shift at work, he tends to dress in more traditional garb, usually a pair of loose fitting pants, and a turban, with either an embroidered vest or chains covering his chest. One or a pair of curved swords are often carried in his belt sash. A breeze of exotic spices and flowers tends to follow him as he walks.

Background: One spring afternoon, while off in the hills around his home in Northern Turkey avoiding doing his school work, Hasan went a bit too far off the beaten path, and was kidnapped into the Hedge. Once inside, the slave trader sold the young man to a Fae Sultan. His master saw that he was trained up to guard his master's large harem, from whom he was forbidden to touch himself. His keeper gave him a choice, either become an eunuch or entertain his master's guests at night. Choosing to avoid being maimed he learned how to please his master's guests and learned to dance from the members of the harem he guarded in order to entertain the guests while delaying the close contact of which he now only recalls through vague memories of excruciating pain and transcendent pleasure. The circumstances of his escape are not entirely clear in his memory, but he does recall that after a long journey though the deserts and forests of fairy. The hedge spit him out, not in his home, but in New York City.

His return to the world couldn't have possibly been in a worse time or place for someone like Hasan. With his head still filled with the memories of the great fae Arabic empires, he was spit out into a city where he was the enemy of everyone. Hasan fled angry crowds throwing rocks and horrible slurs at him, his mind still unclear from the journey back and he unknowing that it was his appearance and traditional dress that invoked their ire. Taking shelter in a darkened alleyway, Hasad hid, clutching the sword he brought back through with him as he tried to make sense of the life of slavery he just escaped and the foreign world that he had been thrown into. Things would have been different for him if Erised had not found him, taken him in off the streets, and explained to him all that had happened.

Taking advantage of the contacts and skills he learned as a slave in fairy he procured himself a job in a Moroccan bar and club downtown as a bouncer and occasional dancer. Also, at the suggestion of Pierce he has done some modeling for local advertisers. He is a regular worker at the Reverie as he learns the business from Erised. Within the fae court, he is the only remaining member of the Soldiers of Spring. His martial skills and protective nature towards his allies has earned him goodwill with the Summer Court. It has been rumored that he is a good choice to become Scion of Spring, should Erised ever name one.

  • Following the lead of his mentor Erised, Hasan has become a Day Breaker
  • Those fluent in Arabic mention that while his name a genuine name in the language, that the well fitting meaning may indicate that it is not his real name.
  • Hasan regularly goes toe-to-toe with a Summer Court Gargantuan Ogre and can match his opponent blow for blow.
  • Recently Hasan was involved in the capture and disposal of the fetch of a deceased member of his court.
