Details of a monster
Appearance
- Mien: A stocky man appearing as if made from cracked obsidian. When calm his eyes have a dull red glow which can also be seen within the cracks. When roused the dull flares up to a bright yellow reminiscent of molten rock, again replicated within the cracks.
- Mask: A medium build, not too heavy nor light, nor tall nor short. Skin a permanent tan with a network of fine scars tracing it. Hair a dull red, eyes a dull brown.
History
The Beginning
Hephæstos can barely remember his childhood beyond scraps here and there. What he did during his Durance was incredibly painful and traumatic, so much so that he blocked everything out.
Durance
Hephæstos was taken for one purpose, and one purpose only, to provide heat to the furnaces of the Brass City.
Not a Durance of pleasures, nor joys, but pure slavery of the unending kind.
Is it any wonder that one might lose their humanity and recede within one's self, only to return with the taskmaster's whip?
Escape
Eventually events in the Brass City lead Hephæstos to making an escape attempt into the Hedge, using his mastery over the elements to smooth his path.
The path through the hedge, normally an obstruction, but no challenge to the engulfed behemoth charging through them.
Eventually daylight was seen through a nearby gate, a way to freedom and rest.
