House Polaris
From Changeling Venue
The San Marcos hotel and resort was founded in 1913 boasting the only hotel featuring golf, tennis, horseback riding, and polo within a hotel in Arizona at the time. Its rich history and stylish décor made it a hot spot for celebrities for decades to follow.
Purchased by David Orion in 1980, The San Marcos has continued to flourish through the new millennium. Still playing host to weekend conferences, celebrity get-a-ways, and family vacations, it remains the vacationing hotspot of the East Valley of Metro Phoenix.
In Reality, the San Marcos is the staging area for House Polaris. Founded in 1980, House Polaris is dedicated to the retrieval, protection, and integration of newly escaped Changelings. For more than twenty years, this establishment has stood as an ever vigil watchtower for those who would need its help finding their way.
Organizational Structures:
Originally put in motion by David Orion, House Polaris has become so much more since then. Offering a slew of different services, the house now has dozens of different individuals working for it, some who don’t even know they are.
A good number of the denizens of the local area have at one time or another graced the halls of the San Marcos their first days into their new lives. A good portion of them now comprising what makes the house as functional and strong as it is.
The primary purpose of House Polaris is the discovery and rescue of new Changelings entering their new, free live, and helping them maintain that ability and freedom. While offering services far beyond this, throughout the years, this has remained its primary function.
Refuge:
House Polaris also offers safe haven both temporary and permanent. With their hands in dozens of cookie jars spanning all over the Valley of the Sun, its resources seem almost limitless when setting up new lives for their fellow Changelings.
Typically found within hours of their “crossing over” new ‘lings, are nearly almost greeted by David himself, a kindly old man on a cane with a warm smile and hand held out in generosity.
