History
Motley Emblem
The Chien-lung Coin was used primarily during the 1760's during the time of the original Chinese Triad rebellion. The Immortal Storm Triad honours this same coin as the Emblem of their Motley. The Triad issues a Chien-lung Coin to everyone under their protection. It is a very common sight within the city of Ann Arbor and is well known and recognized by all.
Background
Historical Events
- 2002 - Formed in the Year of Water. The Motley was brought together by Hael's Wyndstaff as he gathered other changelings together to form an elite social club known as The Green Tael. Hael's Wyndstaff, Rebecca Tulane and Aria Have throw the most enigmatic and socially entertaining party the city has seen in quite some time. This party, glorifying the announcement of the new Immortal Storm Triad is well known and remembered.
- 2003 - Scandal? The Green Tael begins to shed a different light in the eyes of the Freehold as rumours of Rebecca Tulane's "generosity" gets the best of her. Although still highly respectable, The Green Tael feels the push of a larger (and questionable) clientele base.
- 2004 - Expansion in the Year of Wood. The Green year, the year of luck, brings The Green Tael into public view. It now officially opens to all members of the Freehold and the mortal society in general. Another large gala is thrown by the Immortal Storm Triad and again, their Hospitality is known to be impeccable within the Freehold.
- 2005 - Each year The Green Tael grows in prominence within the city. Higher demands of the Motley result in more mishaps. Several occasions occur where the Casino takes a few hits in business and reputation while Hael's Wyndstaff is out of town. When he returns to the city the problems are quickly and distinctly fixed and the Motley's reputation restored. The Green Tael continues to remain a prominent fixture of society in the city.
- 2006 - The Immortal Storm Triad announces its full economic support of the Three Harmonies Guild; a global sporting club. The Triad promotes the first series of "games" and plays host to a vast array of visitors from across the globe.
- 2007 - Following a storytelling ceremony honouring fallen members of the Three Harmonies Storm Society wherein Rebecca Tulane failed to be present, Hael's Wyndstaff conducted the first "public" sanction against another member of the Triad.
Territories
- The Green Tael - It's well known that the Triad owns and operates this Casino inside the Brunswick Building in Ann Arbor. On the floor the Motley Emblem is patterned alerting all who enter the Casino that they are under the Hospitality of the Immortal Storm Triad. To this date there has never been a single question or challenge to the Hospitality of the Triad.
- Some smaller establishments across the city also bear the emblem of the Chien-lung Coin and while these places are not necessarily owned by the Triad, they are considered under the protection of the Triad and are also known as places of Hospitality.

Hael's Wyndstaff - The Big Boss. He spends most of his free time flying kites and wind-surfing. Some think he's retired as the Big Boss, but others know he's just built the organization up so well he can focus on other exploits. He's sole arbiter of all 'Nemesis Emblem pledges and all Sanctions involving the Triad. (Played by Richard Kates)
Rebecca Tulane - The Liaison of Social and Aesthetic Affairs. (Played by Amy Weaver)
Reserved - The Temporary Member. The freelancer, identity specialist. (Played by Darren Player)

Character Creation
Members of the Immortal Storm Triad have a wide array of attributes but they are generally used in conjunction with the exact nature of services the individual character is willing to partake in.
- Protection (Extortionists) generally have high Social and Physical attributes, Presence/Manipulation, Strength/Stamina. Common skills include Brawl, Firearms, Weaponry, Empathy, Intimidation, Streetwise. They usually have physical related Merits, always having at least one fighting Style at 2 dots or more.
- Indentity Specialists (Counterfeiters) have unusually high Mental attributes in Intelligence/Wits with secondary Physical Attributes in Dexterity. Common skills include, Academics, Computers, Crafts, Investigation, Science, Larceny, Stealth, Streetwise and Subterfuge. Most related Merits include Eidetic Memory and various Social Merits in many different aspects.
- Recreational Services (Racketeers) focus highly on Social Attributes in Manipulation/Composure with Mental Attributes of Intelligence/Wits. Common skills include Investigation, Politics, Larceny, Stealth, Empathy, Expression, Persuasion, Socialize, Streetwise and Subterfuge. Related Merits generally encompass all of the Social aspects.
