There is a monument at the base of the lighthouse, just where the stairs begin in the main room. A brass plaque adorns the wall with the date of Adamant's Folly (November 29, 1999), and the words:
Dedicated to the Hope That They May One Day Return
Every brick in the lower room has been inscribed with the name of someone who has been lost beyond the Hedge due to Adamant's Folly (or, in some cases, those lost for other reasons), so that all of them may be remembered. If someone returns, their brick is removed and replaced with one made of shining metals; only three of them have thus far ever been altered in such a way.
