Basic Timeline:

• Born in 1953, Los Angeles, USA.

Jer$ey's Story: I grew up in L.A. in the late 60’s. I was 19 when the Crips and the Bloods of L.A. started truly making their wars known. Sometime in late January of 72, the war spilled over into our house. Bullets ripped through the front window and drew a broken line across the kitchen wall. The details don’t matter, what does matter is I lost my family that day. The cops didn’t help any. There was nothing they could do, so they say, one more drive by with innocents caught in the middle.

I went walking that night, trying to get away from the sights and smells of what till an hour ago had been my home. It was stupid. Someone offered me a deal, they’d give me the power to clean the streets. All I had to do was clean the streets that they wanted cleaned.

I don’t remember a lot of my time in Arcadia, but I did get my wish in a way. The bits I remember involve cleaning the streets of Arcadia with my tongue and other body parts. I’m still unsure how I got out but one morning when I woke up in the Hedge I knew I was free. I wandered the Hedge for longer than I care to say, or know. I learned that running from the beasts in there was the only way to live. Time passes differently in the Hedge. It’s not so noticeable when you go in for short runs or quests but try spending nearly a decade in there alone and Time is just one more monster trying to kill you.

I respect Time, though it will always be my enemy. It's not Time itself that I Fear but Time sides with the Three: Change, Destruction, and Death. The Three I will never forgive for they took all that I once loved in this world and continue to steal away those that look to me for protection and guidance. One day should I happen across a way to kill one or do to them what they have done to me I will leap for that chance with joy. Fear will guide my hand that day. One of the Three will learn of Fear that day.

I learned Fear in the Hedge, but unlike Time, Fear didn't side with the world that wanted me dead. Fear shouted to me when to run, whispered to me when to hide, talked to me when I had no-one, sang to me when I survived, and commanded me to live just one more day. I respect Fear for Fear is truly a part of me. And I never leave home without Fear. One day I will show this world and those that doubt what it is to know true Fear.

Current Activities: Involved in clearing trods in Toronto and the GTA.

Background: Victim of gang violence, wandered the Hedge for a almost a decade after escaping Arcadia.
