Physical Description: Quick is always remembered by his smile. It is that same smile that you remember when he is saying "Hello" or "Goodbye" - even in the worst of terms. Always a dapper dresser - Quick's time in Arcadia left looking like a fox. Most Beasts tend to either be repulsed by their transformation or others see it as a blessing in disguise. Quick on the other hand enjoys it as it feeds into his already confident ego about being a damn foxy sonuvabitch. He is a pretty man and he knows it.
About the Man, the Fox, Quick
Jimmy Quick is definitely a man out of his time. He was abducted during the night while trying to escape an angry husband by going down a fire escape. Though truth be told - he was also sleeping with the husband's brother as well whom he had subsequently lifted several thousand dollars worth of diamonds off of. Jimmy was pulled through the thorns of New York's hedge by two other men. At first he thought the husband (who's name really isn't important, but I think it was Rocka-sumthing), but that changed when he landed in the mud of a wet path. Turning around and seeing his captors - rather their yellowed eyes, he still remembers the words that one of them had said. Those first words echoed is his brain, "You better be quick". Soon Jimmy notice that the world changed from the musty smell of grime and the sweat of the city to the smell of central park at night...and then there was the sound of a horn...
Jimmy ran when he heard the dogs. Their baying struck something primal within him - a fear to which he had never known, and he ran. He darted through the bushes and the thorns as fast as any man could. Behind him he heard footsteps. At first he thought "they" were right behind him. Looking over his shoulder, he saw other "people". Well he couldn't really call them people as they were more like characters out of a comic book or a fairy tale. A man who looked like a rabbit, another who resemebled a elk and a girl looked like a poodle. He turned and stopped and threw his hands up. The trio stopped - amazed at the sight of a normal man and shocked that he was stopping them. "What the hell is going on here?" was what he wanted to say - but before he could answer, the Rabbit man pointed a finger and shouted it, "There! THERE! IT'S THE TROD!!" and darted for it. Not knowing what he was talking about, Jimmy ran with them. Once again they pushed their way through the thorns. Ahead he could hear the baying of horns and the smell of the lower eastside. It was home and they pushed through. However, the poodle cried out in pain as she lurched forward.
The dame had broken her ankle. She began to whine like a real dog and cry, "I won't make it through - the Trod is only open for a short time. Go! You still have a chance."
Pulling her out of the foliage - he picked her up and thrusted her into the arms of the elk looking guy, "Take her and get through." Oddly, the elk looked at him and asked, "What about you?"
Jimmy smiled that smile and replied, "I'm a professional - I'll distract him. Get back to your costume party."
Without a word, the trio pushed forward while Jimmy went back.
That is what Jimmy - now called Quick by most people - will say. He doesn't say much about that night or his time there. What is known is that he says he was 22 when he went in and now looks like he is in his early 30s. Since then, he has had many interesting times with the Lost within the Southwestern United States and across America. Notoriously friendly, Quick (or James to those who've had intimate dealings with him that haven't turned out for the best) is always ready to enjoy himself, even at the expense of himself. Nevertheless his smile is still the same and beams for everyone.

Current Activities:
Quick is currently a member of the Winter Court, though he travels a lot and has no problem interacting with others. For a member of the Court of Sorrow, he rarely seems unhappy like your typical member. Some of the higher standing members within the Court have tried to get him to consider the Spring Court as a possible home. Each time he smiles that smile and says, "They're too hip for me." and leaves the conversation at that. Whatever sorrow he bears, he keeps to himself and hides it - perhaps even from himself.
Quick is also a musician of some repute. He plays several brass instruments, including the trumpet and french horn and has been currently seen with a blue recorder trying to learn it as well. His songs on the brass are rumored to cause tears and fears with a splash of joy. However...those are just preceptions of an already big ego.

Quick is a traveling man. Over the years he has made many friends and the pissed off the occasional person on an "accidental" basis. Below are some of the notables in Lost society that Quick has called friend, lover, business associate, or just fun. Some of them are the occasional romantic interest that has gone awry, while with others its just strictly business. Well not always business - because all work and no play make Quick a dull boy, you dig? Seriously though - he tends to collect as many friends as the miles he has traveled. Never one to judge or shy away from a Court's politics - Quick welcomes each person with a smile - even when he is saying good bye, while they are shooting at him, but that is another story...
It is also known that Quick is a member of the Family, a group of the Lost out of Los Angeles. For the last few years, he has spent time at The Haven helping Mother Rowan. Those who have asked him why he stays there every other year - Quick laughs and says, "I owe Ma Rowan a turkey" and smiles to himself. Nevertheless, he makes her place his home for two months out of the year
Quick also has a tendency to raise eye brows at social function - mostly due to the number of people he knows but also due small disruptions when an former relationship makes their ire know. Perhaps it was quirk of Faerie or maybe it Quick is just crappy about having a long term relationship with a man or a woman. However, this doesn't seem to stop him from making his presence know.

Curretnly the Motley hasn't come up with a fancy-smanchy name, but at least one has started...the name "Short Bus A-Team" has been thrown around but I think that I someone being jealous...what hell is the A-Team anyways?

-The Huntsman wants to kill Quick - not just hunt him, but kill him dead.

-He doesn't love anybody.
-He is still in love with "the poodle girl" - though he never saw her again.

-He often "finds" things that have "fallen off the truck" for the Family
-There is a contest among privateers to see who can bring Quick in.
-The Goblin Markets will sell to him, but believe he is bad for business.
-He plays the horn to conquer the fear of the Huntsman's horn.
-He intends to challenge the Huntsman to a horn blowing contest to see who is really full of hot air.
-He did terrible things in Arcadia, and they will catch up with him in time. Running is not always used for fleeing, after all...
-Vestigere the Usurper found him to be one of his favorite marks...
-He wasn't a fox in Arcadia, he was a mythical creature that was warped when he made his final escape. Sometimes, if you look closely, you can see hints of the manticore behind his eyes and roiling through his skin.

To be honest, Quick is as much of me as I am of him. Below were some of the inspirations that I took from. Some of them were the attitude, the look or just the general presence of the character. The little bits and pieces are only the parts of the man but not the man himself. When you see him, maybe you will catch a glimpse of someone below.
