Physical description:
- Mask: Stocky build with shoulders that looks like he's been in a forge all his life. If you saw him on the street you would think he's just some guy, probably played football though with those broad shoulders.
- Mein: Changelings and fae see Johnny as a stocky green skinned goblinish appearence. He slightly hunches over like he has a bad back.
- Mantle: When Johnny's mantle comes out everyone near him feels the heat of a forge envelope them. The smell of hot metal is in the air and sometimes you can almost see what look to be sparks falling off of him but quickly going out.
Notable Traits: Extremely dexterous, good with guns, and very handy with tools.

Known History
Basic Timeline:
- 1976: Born
- 1994: Graduates high school from Ben Davis. Goes to Purdue University to study science and technology.
- 1997: While in the metal shop of Purdue, he hears a noise, investigates and is taken by the goblins he finds going through the scrap metal.
- 2000: Escapes from Arcadia after all the people in his barracks revolt.
- 2002: Meets Ulysses and joins The Tolltaker Knighthood. He uses his talents as a blacksmith to gain favor.
- 2005: Moves back to Indiana and establishes a small hollow.
- 2005-2007: Working in his forge within his hollow.
Current Activities: Working in his forge, perfecting his form. Looking to be as active as needed within The Tolltaker Knighthood. Trying to also establish himself within the courts of the changeling. Has made strides with the Winter Court. He is also looking to improve his financial standing and hollow soon.
Merit Details: "The Wrench" is fast and good with a gun and he has a small hollow with simple living.
Background: Johnny grew up in Greenwood, IN in a not so special house to a not so special family. While growing up in school he got A's, B's, and C's on his report cards and even played sports though never a big star. After high school finished he went to Purdue in Lafayette, IN to study engineering which he really liked. His grades just allowed him to attend the college but he seemed to excel with the pressure of that college put on him. Johnny seemed to do better while being pushed to do so.
One night while in the metallurgy part of the engineering building Johnny heard some strange noises coming from the parts and equipment storage closet. When he opened the door he could not believe what he was seeing. Small goblin like men going through the scrap metal and equipment, stealing what they wanted. One took a look at Johnny and got a mean look in his eyes. "You not supposed to see!" he yelled. With that a solid piece of metal struck Johnny on the head knocking him out.
When Johnny woke up he found himself in what he could only describe as hell. It was burning hot and very dark. Only a glowing red light which he could not tell where it was coming lit the room or what he thought was a room. As he began to move he found himself chained in manacles like they used hundreds of years ago. When he tried to stand he heard something make a grunt sound and he was pulled by the neck back to the ground.
He looked around and saw another one of the goblins that he saw in the closet walking up to stand over him. It's voice was so gruff, "You mine now. You work in forge make many weapons for Master. You equip army to fight." Johnny was then let up to view the room. It was a dark forge and the red glow was the fire burning. From that day on Johnny worked with other captured humans to forge all sorts of weapons. Whatever was required by the 'Master' to have in his army's ranks. This went on for what was years.
Then one night one of the newly captured started a revolt in the forge barracks. At least ten others followed Johnny as he ran for his life to get away from his captors. As they ran some were either picked off by arrow fire or captured once again by the goblins. After reaching what he knows now as The Hedge; the four others besides himself all split off to find exits to get back to where they came from. Johnny spent two days wondering in the Hedge.
On the second day he saw what looked like a natural doorway formed out of the trees. After all the experiences he had in this place how bad could walking through this be? Johnny took a leap through the doorway and found himself in the middle of White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis, IN. The first thing he did was go to a news stand and look at a paper. It was 1999 when he was taken to Faerie. When he looked at the paper's date he could hardly believe it. The year was now 2005. He had been gone for six years!
Johnny tried to call his parents to let them know he was ok. As he scanned the entire paper he came to the obituaries. In it he saw that apparently he had died two days ago. Not someone finding the body of the lost Johnny Nelson but he apparently was the victim of a tragic hit and run. The picture was him and everything. How could this be? He wasn't killed in a hit and run he just escaped from Hell. Puzzled Johnny wondered the streets until he was found by other changelings that recognized him as one of them.
They explained to him how and probably why he saw what he did in the obituaries. They explained how it was the Fae that stole him and after he fled they killed his fetch so he could not re-enter his life. So with the hard truth that Johnny must leave his old life behind he became bitter and somewhat unfeeling.
After a year he found Ulysses, a member of The Tolltaker Knighthood. They quickly became friends and in no time Ulysses brought Johnny into the Knighthood. Johnny found a good nitch with them by way of doing what he does best, making weapons. At least this time it was of his own accord and he knew it was going to a cause that benefitted him and his friends. But after time Johnny missed the state of his birth and chose to come back to Indiana. He as been in Indiana ever since and still continues to make weapons and is active amongst the Tolltakers.
