Johnny Thorn (Jonathan Brooks) is the lead guitarist and vocalist of Black Velvet Rope.
Virtually unknown until 2005, Johnny Thorn's fan base developed a solid core thanks to MySpace and YouTube. In early 2007, a single from Black Velvet Rope exploded all over the net, and Johnny's fame was secured in the hearts of millions.
For someone who garnered so much fame in such a short time, little is publicly known about this charismatic rocker. He has deftly eluded the cameras of paparazzi, and though it is obvious that Johnny Thorn must be a stage name, the internet remains surprisingly devoid of details regarding his life before the band.
His signature electric blue hair has inspired a new trend amongst teenagers, and the hair color in recent months is growing ever more popular.

The Arrest
On December 15th, 2007, Johnny Thorn and Bengali Shirkan were arrested for allegedly breaking into an animal research facility and freeing the captive animals. They are currently awaiting their day in court.
