Judas is still serving as the The Black Prince's butler and driver. They both reside in the House of Thorns, for which Judas oversees household operations. He provides a continental breakfast and cereal buffet as well as cooks and serves lunch and dinner members of the household and the rare guest. He posts the lunch and dinner menu for the following month by Noon on the 27th of each month. He mixes drinks. He does maintenance, landscaping, repairs, and construction around the property.

Background: Judas was born 30-some years before his abduction into Arcadia. He is descended from a line of servants, his father, John Judas, was the first in the line to achieve the status of butler. It took the family ten generations to move up the ladder of service to the wealthy. Although he trained for his position since childhood, Judas took some time off from butling during his twenties to explore other lines of work. In particular, Judas spent at least a year studying Vietnamese cooking. As his real family name is indeed Judas, his ancestors were generally employed by those wealthy individuals that had a sense of humor and no fear of betrayal. Judas became Tristan, The Black Prince's butler as a gift from his wealthy parents. Tristan was about 18 and Judas was about 30. They were abducted together, but then separated in Arcadia. Judas served The_Gentleman for a period of time as his personal butler, but on a sea voyage Judas was stolen from The Gentleman by the Duke of Darkwater. It had never previously occurred to the Duke that he needed a butler, but knowing The Gentleman had one made him envious. Judas comes from a long line of domestic servants. He is a member of various organizations for butlers. He takes service very seriously.
Judas carried Laurel Thorn to the Hedge, carrying her in a pail of water. He kicked her out of Arcadia on the Duke's orders. While doing this, he saw a vaguely familiar man materialze from the air. After Judas went back to the Duke, he slowly realized that he had seen his old master, and decided to escape Arcadia so that he could serve his true master once again.

Winter Court and the Healing Power of Grief
