Physical description: Shorter then average, and a bit rounded from her previously pampered life. Her hair is blonde and falls around her shoulders, and she has bright, almost un humanly blue eyes that seem a bit turned at the corners. She tends to roam around barefoot, and prefers skirts to pants. She's never seen without her red belled ribbon around her neck.

Background:
Dasha never knew anything other then her Russian family for the first seven years of her life. That's when the state stepped in and forced her parents to send her to the local public school. At first she had trouble fitting in due to the language barrier, and being older then most classmate at the same level as her. As her English improved though, so did her social life, and her need to be accepted by others.
Needing to be accepted by her classmates always led to issues with her family, who felt that she was being corrupted by the American culture. They had come to the US before Dasha, their youngest child and only daughter was born for a better life, but that better life needed to be on their terms. After arriving in the US, they had ended up living in a cloistered setting, where the closest neighbors also were Russian imigrants.
Eventually, Dasha came to the point of being forced to choice between her American life and her Russian family, and when she hesitated in that choice, her parents made it for her, her father kicking her out of the hourse, and disowning her for dating unacceptable boys.
She wasn't on the streets long at all before she had made her way to one of that larger city's near by. Dasha also didn't take long to run into trouble, a local group of gang bangers cornering her in an alley to have fun torturing the young woman. Well he may not of meant to of help her, her savior was one of the Gentry, who happened to be in the right place at the right time. Dasha feeling that she owed the man, and feeling as if he would keep her safe, followed him into the Hedge.
She actually didn't mind being the pet of one of hte Gentry, atleast not at first. For the most part, as long as she stayed out of the way, her Keeper ignored her. She would purposely work hard to bring things to him to earn his praises. That life was doomed to failure though, she was nothing more then a pet to him, an accidental one at that.
Her world came to a crashing halt when to repay a debt, her Keeper gave her to The Crimson Margrave who by far made her life ten times more misrible then being ignored over ccoild. He tossed her into the fitting pits to punish her former Keeper in his own sick and demented way.
It was in the pits she met Dan and Big Mick. The two men would be the ones that helped her escape, and make her way back through the hedge. Though Mick was seperated from them, she clings to Dan fiercely as she made her way to Driftwood, the safe haven that Mick told them about.
