Neko has been retired and is now an NPC. See below.
Overview
Age: Early 20s
Concept: Punk-rock Prankster, Coyote, Urban Varmint
Entitlement:
Physical description: Neko usually wears fairly ratty clothes that suggest he might bet trying to achieve a punk look and not succeeding. This is usually because of the lopsided hat he wears, which has holes cut out to allow his ears to poke through the top.
In his fey mien, Neko has a black and white ringed tail that sticks through a hole in the back of his pants. Most of his body is covered with short fur, and the skin around his eyes is black like a raccoon's bandit mask.
Neko's mask resembles a young man who can't seem to quite pull off a punk look. In his mask, his hat doesn't have holes in it, but his hair has black and brown bands that look like a very bad dye job.
Mantle: Neko tends to shed dry leaves. When he uses some of his more flamboyant contracts, they are accompanied by small explosions of dry leaves.

Character Information
Known History
Basic Timeline: 1986?- Born.
2001?- Taken. (see rumors for the speculation about whys and wherefores)
2005 October 31st- returned by popping out the back of the "vortex" that was the art project known as Inversion. Thankfully, it was in Montrose and everybody was too busy gawking at the sculpture to notice him.
The Night of Shattering- fled the Wild Hunt by climbing the outside of the Transco (Williams) Tower and hiding on the roof of the night club at the top until the following morning.
3/22/2008- Leaves the Freehold of Houston for the wilds. He had been having a rough few months following his discovery of a woman who was selling human teens to the True Fey. Someone beat him to killing her, and so after accidentally clubbing her head in with a fireplace poker he returned to the freehold to find the Winter King- who hadn't bothered to tell anyone the Winter Court was 'observing' his mark. He was quite combative until a Fiddling Fairest told him a story that dazed him. He tried to leave the freehold scratching his head in confusion, was pursued, and escaped into the hedge anyway.
Current Activities: Neko generally can be found making a pest of himself in various suburban neighborhoods. He likes knocking over garbage cans, sneaking into peoples' houses and stealing food from the refrigerator (usually setting off the alarm in the process), and siphoning gas from peoples' tanks to refill his ancient motorcycle. At the same time, he enjoys feeding off the fear and panic his pranks cause, as well as the anger generated when someone realizes they were faked out. He often visits various night clubs, and although he rarely dances he doesn't mind enjoying the scenery or going home with a cute girl (or boy).
More recently, Neko may have been involved in the very bizarre mugging of a noted church lady in Houston, a mugging which ended with her having a heart attack. He has also been seen hanging out with a small goblin-like girl.
Neko likes to embrace the sorcerous aspects of the japanese mythic Raccoon as well as the Autumn Court, instead of merely enjoying the more obvious pleasures of the Autumn Court.
Merit Details:
Hollow- Neko maintains a small Hollow in the Hedge. The few who have seen it describe it as something not quite plant and not quite house, but a bizarre hybrid of both.
Background: Neko was taken at some point in the late 1990s or early 2000s by The Hillbilly who wanted more hunting for his coonhound Hunterheart pack. Neko was one of several teenagers taken, mostly because the Keeper thought that the gothy makeup they wore made them look like raccoons and their tendency to flee from other students who tended to persecute them- much like game animals fleeing predators. Neko was the only raccoon of his group to survive repeated hunts, although the True Fey kept bringing small groups of fresh quarry, often women wearing rabbit ears or the occasional teenager wearing christmas reindeer antlers. After spending several months in the Arcadian version of a trailer park from which he was released only to be hunted down and recaptured, Neko eventually happened upon a small rabbit hole in the hedge that finally led him out through Inversion. He suspects other of his cagemates might have escaped from time to time, but he's never actively tracked them down.
During the Night of Shattering, which happened very shortly after his return to Houston, Neko escaped the True Fey hunters by climbing to the roof of the (Williams) Transco Tower and hiding atop its penthouse nightclub. It unfortunately provided him with a good view of many other changelings being hunted down and returned to Arcadia. This is probably why he associated himself with the Autumn Court- to gain mastery over his fears and embrace the sorcerous aspects of the mythological raccoon, or at least those he was aware of from watching anime. His Fetch is probably a total Narutard.
Yes, Neko is aware that the name "Kuroneko" is "black cat" and not "raccoon" in japanese. "Tanooki" doesn't sound right.

Quotes
Rumors
Neko is one of three "emo goth" students who disappeared from Spring Woods High School in the fall of 2001. All three were known social outcasts who tended to eat their lunch in a back corner of the school's commons, away from the bulk of the other students. One of the missing students bears an undeniable resemblance to Neko. Still, all three children are almost certainly dead by now...
