History
Basic Timeline:Born in India (Delhi) 1980, Taken 1985, Return 1999
Current Activities:Member of the Washington DC Freehold, Managing Editor of DCXS Magazine, Major contributor to Blooming Oak, member of The Morning.
Background:
The concept is based on the Gandharva and Apsaras from Hindu mythology. The Apsaras are nymphs who inhabit Indra's heaven Vaikunth. They are said to be the daughters of pleasure. There are innumerable stories of their love affairs with the Gandharvas whom they partner in song and dance as they team up to entertain the Gods in Indra's palace. Initially, the Apsaras have been mentioned in older texts as water nymphs and, in this role, later texts still maintain that when these celestial beings descend to earth they are to be found in holy pools
and rivers.
The origin of the Apsaras is as spicy as they themselves are. They are said to have been produced during the churning of the milk ocean by the Gods and asuras (demons). Though they were beautiful women neither the Gods nor the asuras wanted them as wives and so it was decided that they would become nymphs who would serve everyone.
Abduction:
At the age of five Lalita and her brother Manju were playing in the garden behind their home outside of New Delhi, India. There, they were approached by a gorgeous man, as far as she could tell, wearing the traditional clothing of a long gone era. Although such dress is not rare among modern Hindus, his garments were elaborately embroidered and bejeweled and soft, yet still flattering for a male form. His voice was surprisingly musical yet still masculine and he moved with a fluid mercurial grace uncommon with even the most trained men. He asked in his deep sensual tones if the two would like to come play in his garden, which was just beyond the hedge at the end of the path.
Looking up from the ants that had scattered from the broken anthill they had been poking with sticks, the twins looked at each other and consulted in the silent language only twins can share. Soon they nodded; after all, no other adult let them wander beyond the boarders of the family's small enclosed home and gardens.
They reached their hands up to his and walked along with the man who called himself Timbarū. He smiled down on them and they were off walking a winding path they had never seen through the garden hedge.
So began a two decade captivity in the Fae Realm.
Faerie:
Lalita and her brother matured together into adulthood, where thier aging stopped and time no longer had meaning. All throughout her early time in Faerie, Lita was highly trained in the skills of the Apsaras; from the 64 skills of the Kama Shastra that every Public woman should know, to the more pleasurable and intimate arts of the Kama Sutra itself, she trained with her twin tirelessly on all these things.
The Real World:
Lalita and her twin brother Manju are now the managing fashion editor and the sales director, repsectively, of the magazine DCXS Magazine -- the pop-culture bible for fashion, show business, travel and politics within Washington, DC. They had taken these positions by slow coersion when they arrived in Washington, DC over 5 years ago.

Quotes
- "Done." - Lalita
- "Working for Lalita is like working in a torrential onslaught of fashion, style and beauty. She is absolutely the most AMAZING creature to be around when she works. Focused, creative, and she can spot a fake stone or a faux handbag at twenty paces. It's uncanny! She's just phenomenal. But heaven help you if you fuck up her tea." - One of Lalita's overworked yet starry eyed assistants
- "Just between you and I, darling; I wouldn't throw Lalita out of bed for eating cookies. She's worth suffering the crumbs between the satin sheets." - Bianca Snow
- Ms. Das doesn't walk, she dances. When we go out, she is always being watched by people who walk by her. I think that, if normal people know at all that the world isn't what they believe, it is because they have seen Ms. Das. - Elizabeth Ann Sexton
- "Hey Lita... I have something to tell you before we get serious..." <Vayne sits and looks at her> "Not many seem to really understand this... not sure why... by anyways... My Sister Ronyo always comes first for me. That means everyone from help to her and I haveing sex together..." <there is a slight pause> "See I knew you wouldn't understan.... Wait... What! You Understand Completely? You Don't Mind?! Your the Best Girl Friend EVER!" - Vayne Cruxis trying to break the news to Lita about his close connection to his Sister.
- "What can I say about Lalita that hasn't been said? She is the epitome of what a woman should be." - Malic Stitch
- "It's not every day you get to meet a real classy lady. A lot of the Lost have style, a lot have grace, but Miss Das takes it the next step. I'm not that kind of fella, but even I've got to stop and watch as she walks by." - Horace "Race" Ardent
- "Romance is particularly hard to understand. She taught me a lot. I am learning though. I still do not understand the answer she gave me when I asked why she broke up with me. What does she mean when she said "Two minutes"?" - Noman
Rumors
- It is rumored that Lalita is unnaturally close to her brother, Manjunatha "Manju" Das
- It is rumored that Lalita has destroyed the lives of former assistants who have earned her anger - slept with their boyfriends, made them the pariah of society and generally used all her influences to make them regret the day they crossed her. And she did it all without a single supernatural ability.
- It is rumored that Lalita has a warm heart under all that ice and a soft spot for children. As long as they're not dirty, loud, needy or overly energetic.
