Lord Ashcroft

And a Smile Upon This Mask (Description)
There is an old saying: "If it looks like a duck and if it quacks like a duck, then it's got to be a duck." Unfortunetly for his servants, and many of the Fae, this could not be said of Lord Ashcroft, the Prince of Empires. Though the Fae Lord often acted like a complete fop for the most part, many times, years later, it would seem as if everything had been set up in advance to his advantage. Does Fortune favor the Foolish, or is there something more sinister behind those violet eyes?
Lord Ashcroft is a tall man of unearthly beauty with long, silky ash blonde hair and striking violet eyes. He tends to dress in foppish clothing, though he has been known to be able to blend in to any social situation. His face and demeanor can be seen as almost kind when dealing with other Fae or sometimes even his servants. He certainly can be considerate when the mood strikes, though it is more likely that he is simply being aloof, or even worse, setting up his political manuvers. But his servants know the real story. Lord Ashcroft is probably the most convincing actor that the fae realm has ever known.
The Prince of Empires has a better understanding of human nature than most fae, but only to a certain degree. He has had plenty of time to learn, though no one knows for exactly how long. Lord Ashcroft may seem accomidating on the surface and more than a little incompetant, but the truth is that is merely how he wants to be seen. He is underestimated by all the other Fae, and more importantly by his own servants. Not even they know how many servants he really has, though those in his service know that there seems to be no overlying seeming or kith to unite them. It is unknown if Lord Ashcroft really gathered all of these different Changelings through trades or deals, though there are whispered rumors that somehow he has actually been able to create all of these different servants through some sort of secret. Those that know the true ways of the Lord have wondered if it has something to do with manipulating someone else to do something that would change them somehow.
To his slaves, Lord Ashcroft was best described as confusing; a manof extremes. If you were on his good side, he tended to stay out of people's way, even sometimes offering a few words of praise. However, if you went against his orders, which were often nigh impossible not to do so, you saw his true self. This Lord Ashcroft was cruel, using his clinical knowledge of the human psyche to break down his servants through any means necissary. To a Fireheart, he slowly lowered her into a lake, giving her enough time to try and climb the cage which held her while begging for forgiveness. To a Mirrorskin, he bound him to only show as a reflection in mirrors, reflectng always only what he saw and never being a part of anything on his own. To a Dancer, he made her give up her infant child in order to save her Cyclops brother. His cruelty knows no bounds during these times, and the mask that he shows others literally cracks and peels showing something dark and unimaginable writhing beneath...
