Lord winter resides in a large mansion located in the Vale of Frozen Sorrow known as the Winter Mansion. Built in the early 1920's and expanded to its current size, it serves as a Freehold to members of the Winter Court.
The mansion itself sits atop a large hill located in a forest of evergreen trees. Crafted of white stone, the mansion itself is a testament to time, as unmoving as a glacier. Few outside the Winter Court get a chance to see it except during the Winter Market. Most of the year the building is obscured by the Raging Winds [see below].
Raging Winds
Throughout most of the year, the Winter Mansion is surrounded by a whirlwind of snow. The Raging Storms completely obscured the building but strangely do not extend much farther than the forest that surrounds the Winter Mansion. Entering the storm is dangerous as a traveler is buffeted by a blizzard of winds and ice that tear at the flesh and make navigating the forest nearly impossible.
The Raging Winds seems to calm during the Winter season and come to a stop altogether during the weeks before and after the Winter Market. It has been rumored that Lord Winter and those sworn to him can navigate the Raging Storms even during their height. None can claim to have ever watched this and even Lord Winter denies such a thing is possible.
