Mask: Magellan appears to be in his late 20s, tall and thin with it. His pale skin can be attributed to the long hours he spends among his books and maps. A scar runs straight down from his left eye. Behind his dark glasses (he's sensitive to light you know), hide a pair of very dark eyes.
Mien: His Mien makes his already pale skin unnaturally so. His dark eyes seem to gleam in the light and his figure seems even more frail than it did before. The scar under his eye seems to be formed of darkness itself. A cold air surrounds him and ice gleams in his footprints. Dust constantly trails around his feet and more years than he's seen look back from his eyes.

Basic Timeline:
- October 2002 - Comes to Edinburgh from outside Aberdeen to study Architectural History at the University of Edinburgh
- 10th May 2003 - Taken by the Fae for a transgression he barely understood
- 1st November 2003 - Returned from Arcadia with thoughts of the Old Town in his head
- 6th May 2008 - Elected Representative for Edinburgh's Winter Court
Current Activities:
- Is the current Cartographer, making his way trading maps of all kinds (when he remembers)
- He spends a lot of time in the Hedge and the Maze, trying to map it all as best he can.
- Mapping Oldcastle in it's new form

Background:
As a Fresher, Magellan was up all night every night with his mates - wasting his student loan on drink and parties. It was at one of these parties that a 'man' in black clothing - who Magellan and friends immediately assumed was a Goth came to ask for directions somewhere. Despite knowing exactly where it was, Magellan gave him directions to somewhere completely different. Than 'man' thanked him and walked off in the direction Magellan indicated.
That night, Magellan disappeared and a creature formed of shadows and dust took his place, slowly replacing him. It drank less, studied more and worked for its degree. When Magellan returned from Faerie - exactly 6 moonths after his capture - it was someone different already. Knowing he had no way to take his life back - not with what he'd seen - and tired from his long, long Durance, Magellan left his Fetch alone - occasionally looking in from time to time to see his other life.
His shadowy other half graduated this summer with a top-class Masters degree - its long term girlfriend on its arm during the celebrations. Magellan watched the graduation ceremony from a distance - not trying to intrude. The Fetch has left Edinburgh now, gone to start its career in England. Magellan remained - fascinated with the hidden aspects of his chosen home. He's resolved to solve the Maze - somehow.
