Real Name: Tokugawa Amaya
Location: currently resident at the Occasional Respite, in Athens, Greece

Physical description: 5'6", though appears shorter because she always stands with her head slightly bowed, slender, fair skin, very long raven black straight hair, dark eyes with heavy lashes, small but full mouth, heart shaped face with high cheekbones.
Mask: Maya dresses in skirts or dresses, often traditional kimono, particularly her black hedgespun one. Her hair is usually worn loose in a curtain down her back, or pulled up high Geisha style, her make up subtle and suited to the occasion. Maya is very feminine, very much the lady. She always carries a fan.
Mein: Somehow looks taller than her 5'6", finer in bone structure, skin luminescently fair, almost translucent, hair hangs to her ankles and is more like living shadows that wrap around her rather than hair. Her eyes are black pits that don't reflect the light, her lips blood red, teeth and ears slightly pointed. Her hands and fingers are very long and fine. Absolutely striking, a cold beauty of shadows and darkness. On certain occasions, her eyes have been described as being like 'black ice'.
Mantle: A faint chill emanates from her. When she's experiencing strong emotions, or using contracts, frost will form on objects and surfaces near her, and a cold mist will hang in the air around her. Her skin takes on a slightly bluish hue.

Current Activities:

Travelling the world, trying to stay one step ahead of whatever's chasing her.

Background:

Born during a blizzard's peak, her mother died barely a month afterwards, leaving her the youngest child of six (four brothers, two sisters). She was the most beautiful child of her generation, and loved by all.

Her family were remnants of the Shogunate, and she was raised accordingly, well educated in the arts (etiquette, dance, calligraphy, conversation, music, politics, mathematics, combat) as befitted a woman of her station.

She was betrothed to the second son of another noble family, to solidify alliances. She was looking forward to the union, and the benefits she would be bringing to her family by it. In her own childish way, she loved the man she was to marry, even though they'd never met.

At the age of 14, during the winter before the spring of their intended marriage, she was taken in the night by hands unseen, and carried away to Arcadia, and into her Lord's service.

Locked in the highest tower of ice and shadow in his kingdom of eternal night, for the longest time only the stars kept her company. Once in a while, he would come to her, and try to win her heart, offering her his world if she would love him. Pining for her lost fiance, she refused.

Eventually, he gave up trying to win her heart, and sent her to his deepest dungeon to be broken and cast out of his sight.

At midwinter, almost seventy years after she was taken, she awakened in a hotel room in Osaka, lost and alone and with the sure knowledge that something, someone, was chasing her. She's been running, hiding, ever since.

As yet unnamed, a Lord of Darkness and Ice who fell head over heels in love with her, and stole her to make her love him in return. When she would not, he tortured and broke her, and threw her from Arcadia. If you have a keeper you believe suitable, please contact.
