Background:
Donna was a busy mom, a harried mom, a good mom. She loved her husband and her kids and put herself last always. The kids weren't bad kids, there were just 4 born in quick succession. The family could afford to go camping when it came to vacations and one summer in 1965, Doug was off with a fishing pole, leaving Donna and the kids and the breakfast mess. After a spectacular mess involving a pot of boiling water, the campfire and at least 2 sleeping bags, with no end of screams and giggles, Donna had had enough. She gave the kids a real talking to and then walked off into the woods for a few minutes to calm down. However, a certain Fae was watching the whole interaction and determined that Donna's no-nonsense way with her children would be perfect for a new slave in his household...his children's nanny.

Donna lost track of herself rather quickly in Arcadia and forgot her family but somehow transferred her affection onto the bratty children of (Fae npc to be determined). They came around, sort of, and she raised them rather well considering the circumstances. Time flew by (and even faster on the other side of the Hedge) and when his children left to create worlds of pain of their own, (Fae npc) decided to get some more children, just because he liked hearing their laughter and running feet. And so, much to her surprise, Donna was handed 2 preschool aged children. This blew the cobwebs out of her mind. She remembered the feel of her own children's hands when they were grubby with dirt and the silky feel of her daughter's hair and the heft of a small child on your hip that turns your gait but feels so right. Her own family, her own life, how many years had it been? And these 2 innocents, brought to this and taken from their own families. It was wrong and it had to end. She kidnapped the children back and made her way to the hedge. She got a good way in and thought perhaps she might even make it when the Fae came to round her up. The fight was fierce but she was only one dog against a pack and they spirited the children back, leaving her for dead. She was dying, bleeding out, when Crevan found her.

On this side of the Hedge, 35 years had passed and the world was as foreign as Arcadia. Her family? What family? Her Doug had remarried, (who would blame him?) and all 4 kids grown and to the 4 winds. Kelly, Dennis, Marc and Jim. Living all over the country with families of their own.

So Donna, with her own life gone, had to do *something*. She got a job at a daycare and got a good deal on a rundown rental house. She kept her nose to that grindstone for a while til Crevan came knocking on her door one night with a newly escaped Lost in tow.
