Appearance
Mask: At first, Nick always appears as another face in the crowd. Its as if his presence outstrips one ability to take it in with their eyes, and he then gets relegated to being a piece of the background such at a building, a tree, or the horizon. Still, once the time and the effort to focus on him is taken, this young man in his last twenties, Nick Waters is devistatingly handsome. The cool line of his jaw is set with a confidence rarely seen on the emmasuclated men of his generation. His eyes are deep, cool wells, filled with a subtle weariness that threatens to make one cry if they stare too long, yet with a magnatism that makes it hard not to throw yourself into. He is tall man, with a muscular atheleticism that is neither stiff nor predatory. Instead, it as if he glides past you disppearing like the memory of a man you once loved too much to tell.
Mein: The blue saltiness of Nick's skin ripples in the sun, creating a prism of cool winter colors that reminds one of a simpler time which can never be retaken. With out his mask, this man of mist and water speaks with the voice of the ocean, deep and sonarous, as if his words have be washed up from somewhere deep and forgotten. His hair flows, blown back by the sea winds which, while you can not feel, still carry the oders of cold salt, sand, and morning frost.
Mantle: When invoking contracts, hoary cool flows past the salt which crystalizes on his lips. Often, frost can be seen to spiderweb on the ground, and a salty winter fog rolls seeps in to the corners of site. Sometimes, you can swear you hear the tide whispering a sirens call for you to return to where you came from... to return to the sea.

Nutshell History: Born to a life a priviledge in 1986, Illia seem to be blessed to a perfect life. He and his older brother Eric went to the best of private schools and showed a real knack for athletics. When they were taken during Eric's senior trip to Greece, they left behind a string of sports trophies, two well notched headboards, and one fetch that murdered their father and then shot itself in the head. A few years on earth, and an indiscriminate amount of time in Arcadia later, the two brothers washed up on the shore, where they seemed to pick right back up with their old hijinks. Now the Waters brothers, both Dukes, run a corporate efficency consulting company where they create only slightly less misery than they do in their romantic endevours. Current Activities: When Nick isn't running his business with his brother, he enjoys swimming, dancing, and long walks next to the water. He's recently started reading more, and finds that culture suits him well. Background: Everyone knows that you can't judge a book by its cover, and yet they keep on doing just that. Flipping over the book of Nick's life, and reading the back cover you get a story that, while complete, is only superficial. Like most literature, though, there is something deeper, something hidden, in the pages that only comes out when you get comfortable with the materials, feel the words under your fingers, form a relationship with the very text. Of course, the question is not, "What was his story before?" Rather it is, "What is his story to come?" |
1985: Eric Frey is born. 1986: Illia Frey is born. 1986: Mrs. Frey commits suicide. 1997: Illia and Eric start at the Kent School. 2003: Eric is taken while diving off Greece. 2003: Illia is taken after walking into the ocean. 2003: Illia's fetch returns home and kills Mr. Frey and then itself. 2004: Illia and Eric return. Several years have passed for them. |
