Inspiration
Sir Dagonet: His joy comes not from laughing but from causing others to laugh. His is neither noble nor courageous but he is always loyal and occasionally wise. He has a tendency to tell tall tales about the heroic exploits of his friends. Running away is his favored tactic but he has the ability to set aside prudence when his loved ones are threatened.
Background
Quinn grew up in a wealthy family that pushed him towards success. He went to Keck medical school (California) in the 80's and became a doctor. Almost immediately after gaining financial independence he flushed his life down the drain. He's slept with his patients, shown up to work buzzed etc... after a few years he ended up a doctor on a cruise ship treating sunburns and sea sickness ( and would have lost his license without the intervention of his family).
When Quinn disappeared into Arcadia his fetch did a better job of maintaining a career but shortly after Quinn's return he was taken in for suspected murder. The courts ruled that he was innocent but he was placed in a mental hospital for two years (he was babbling about faeries and such). By the time he got out he was responsible enough to be a good doctor but his medical career was pretty thoroughly trounced by his past screw ups. Quinn currently maintains his own practice (few institutions are willing to hire him) and has moved away from traditional medicine into the field of cosmetic surgery.
Quinn is a very nice guy, but following the description of Elementals, he tends to view the world from his perspective and not understand how others think. For example, if you talk to Quinn about being poor or hungry he'll tell you the story about how he was once so broke that he had to eat $20 meals for a whole week. One of his friends was depressed because she had a degree in marine biology but couldn't get a job in her field. He bought a whale to cheer her up and underestimated the cost of things like giant salt water tanks so he was in a bad financial spot for a few weeks.
Quinn delights in having friends and routinely has dozens of house guest. Just about everyone is welcome. His house guests are a strange mix. There are lots of pretty moochers (male and female) from mainstream society mixing with rich housewives (his clients), and strange characters who've caught his interests over the years (other Changelings).
Community Service
Aside from one arrest involving suspicion of murder (which proved to be false) Quinn has never been in serious trouble but he has been involved in a fairly continuous stream of minor brushes with the law. He nearly always has some sort of community service going (often at Driftwood).
Friends

- Althea Sexton openly admits they had the same Keeper (the Duke of Darkwater), and that she has a fondness for the flippant young man.
- He makes Laurel Thorn laugh. Which is both good... and bad.
- His excesses delight Vera Greensborough to no end and she will of course encourage him in their pursuit. "Oh sure, it's fine and well to have one whale, but to do it properly, you really should have at least two."
Rumors
Quinn was a firm supporter of King Adamants decision to attack the Huntsman but no one saw Quinn during the actual fighting.
