Background:

Hesitant to speak of his past, including his time in captivity, someone managed to get Red Eyes to reveal some of what he went through, though no one knows who it was or how they did it. He was taken at a relatively young age, and doesn't seem to remember much about anything before he was taken. He remembers his time in Arcadia very well though, and he has mentioned the name Lady Violet de LaGlace. It is hard for him to talk about his past to anyone, so no one knows who exactly got him to open up.

As for his arrival at Som i'Seely, he doesn't remember how he got there, only that he looked around and saw the Gentry leaving, and then looked ahead and saw the walls of the Som i'Seely standing in front of him. While he tends to be anti-social, and antagonistic of the members of the courts (even his own court), he has been a steady presence at Som i'Seely since he participated in the reswearing of the Oath of Common Bonds.

The Courts

The Autumn Court: "Do not assume I like the Autumn Court. While I belong here, many others do not. They use the court as a cloak, to hide their weakness. They try to convince others they are dark, and twisted. But putting fangs on a penguin, just gives you a penguin with a lisp. That said, there are some in this court that are truly frightening. Old ones. Dark ones. Ones who's very presence would shatter your mind. They do not wish your attention, and if you are afraid of me, then avoid them at all costs. Even I do."

The Winter Court "I would feel sad for them if they weren't so pitifully depressed. Yes, you have lost everything. Yes, it's horrible. But if you stop crying long enough, you might find something to fill that void. But I do not underestimate the Winter Court. They are dangerous, and whenever you see one, it is safe to assume there are others you don't see. We are kin in a way, except I cannot stand their constant moping."

No Court "These are perhaps the most honest of us. They are true only to themselves and avoid labels. They would be even more frightening if they ever managed to unite under a common banner. Fortunately for us, that would destroy their very strength. Not before they did some serious damage though."

Seemings

Beasts "No matter what they do, they cannot hide what they are. That doesn't stop them from trying though. They will stand before you and praise their great abilities, proud of their bestial mantle. But in the quiet times, during the dark hours of the night, they cry. They cry for what they lost. Then they cry even harder. Because in truth, they are exactly what they seem. They are beasts. Darklings "Yes I am a Darkling. Yes, we are supposed be twisted and strange. This, coming from the thing that looks like a walking boulder. While we are dark, not all of us are as dark as others. And some of us are so dark, that even other Darklings cannot bear their presence. But remember that sterotypes are based in truth. And watch where you step. The shadows are our friends."

Elementals "I feel a certain kinship with Elementals. They are creatures out of place, no longer human. Like me. But they do not deserve sympathy for their plight. They were rewarded, granted power. Many of them accept it. Those who don't, make the rest look bad."

Fairest "Yes my pretty, yes. I know. Yes, you are so very beautiful. But remember, ugly is as ugly does. One of the greatest illusions ever cast, was the illusion of the Fairest. Their truth is so ugly, they cannot even conciously acknowledge it. You call me and my kin dark, but Fairest make us look positively sparkling by comparision. When they start smiling, it's usually time to leave. Yes, I know they are always smiling."

Ogres "Brute is a derivitive of Brutal. Or the other way around, I don't know, I'm not an English major. The point is, that an Ogre is the word Brute in physical form. And while there are cunning, even intelligent Ogres, for the most part, what you see is what you get. Still, it is amusing to watch someone irk an Ogre. Well, it's fun as long as you aren't the one you being stuffed into an oven. Yes, I have seen that. No, I won't tell you who. Figure it out yourself."

Wizened "The Wizened scare me more than anyone else. With any other seeming, you get motives. Some of them are harder to discern than others, but there is always a motive. With Wizened, you get a Florida summer day. One minute they are all blue skies and sunshine, the next they are dark and menacing. Their unpredictable natures make them fickle allies at best, and cunning enemies at worst. Your best bet is to stay away from them. And stock up on riddles. Riddles are like crack to them."
