This is infomation that Reeva doesn't even fully remember/know yet so unless you live in her brain (if you do, i'd like to know!) it's all OOC
The wind whistled past her ears so fast it all began to hurt to listen to and time began to slow. In that protracting of things the whistle became a roar and Ellen understood this was what it was to have your life flash before your eyes. Staring down at the space between her and the huge body of water beneath her that was, when things righted themselves, quickly diminishing.
She was only sixteen and of all of that Ellen could only drudge up what’d brought her to this situation, what had led her to the Forth Bridge. The vicious cycle of rowing, rebellion, fighting and frustration between her and her parents. How it had spiralled out of control and eventually after years of no one understanding each other, of misunderstanding or not wanting to even try to understand her parents had divorced and unceremoniously disowned her.
Her boyfriend, Dave, he’d been so sure they should go north, they could get married eventually and live in Scotland working for an uncle he had there. Thing was, Dave fell through when he left her after four days for a hooker and his uncle had kicked her out the house. She’d tried squatting and she couldn’t bare it, living rough was killing her slowly and so she had thought, at sixteen years of age that she probably should just blink out of existence.
Bugger - that was a stupid plan. Ellen, blinked as things started to speed up. Crap, she wanted to live, what the hell? She was sixteen! She had a whole life ahead of her, HAD her whole life - crap crap crap.. no, she wanted to live - maybe she could...
There was a horribly crunching noise as she hit the water and the shock of the cold knocked all the air from her lungs. Ellen thought, as she tried to force her arms to move, that that was what being hit by a train must feel like. As she forced herself to the surface and the cold started to consume her a fresh panic set in as she felt something huge and very much alive brush against her legs and then, Ellen Greene was gone. A figure was helped out of the river, eventually, taken to hospital and given the chance at living again that she had wanted so badly.
If she had only not changed her mind, he would have let her die, but she’d wanted to live and what sort of Power would he be if he did not grant her that small blessing?
