Regency of the Rose
From Changeling Venue
Perfect both to see and smell;
Words can never, never tell
Half the beauty of a Rose-
Buds that open to disclose
Fold on fold of purest white,
Lovely pink, or red that glows
Deep, sweet-scented, What delight
To be Fairy of the Rose!

Overview
Mission Statement: The purpose of the motley, Regency of the Rose, is to nullify the pains and bitter memories of Arcadia by materializing the deepest desires of those the Regency deems worthy.
Motley Emblem: A single white rose, which is symbolic of loyalty, secrecy, and modesty, is the Regency's emblem.
Motley Concept and History: Founded in 2008, by Spring Courtier, James Morton, of Orlando's House of Cards, the Regency of the Rose is a motley founded on the principles of charity, generosity, and selflessness. The Regency's goal is to grant the innermost desires of Lost who's lives have been particularly damaged by their time in Arcadia. Their hope is that, by granting these "wishes," the Regency can inspire within the Lost the joy and hope to move on. Once a Lost is chosen, he or she is awarded the token, a single rose (The color of the rose is determined by The Rules of Rose.), as a means of notice. Within a matter of days, or hours, even, the chosen can expect his or her dreams to begin to materialize.
The Regents of the Rose: Members of the Regency come from a variety of backgrounds and courts. While some certainly are courtiers of the Antler Crown, looking to find a place in their court, many are from other courts, simply looking to give back. However, whatever the reason, Regents of the Rose, are selfless those who join the Rose to further their own selfish endeavors find, quickly, they are neither required, nor desired, and are swiftly expelled, forever labeled an egocentric by the Regency and its members. All must abide by The White Petal Pillars.
Physically: While the Regency consists of multiple seemings, kiths, and courts, all Regents typically embody a rose in some form or fashion. Some are beautiful, others fragrant, and some have skin soft as rose petals, but, don't be fooled by the typical, some are covered with thorns.
Admission: While it is, of course, possible to join the Regency by expressing general interest to a member, it's usually the motley that chooses the mate, not the other way around. In any case, if chosen, the candidate will receive a single white rose, as a sign that they have been selected. All he or she has to do, at that point, is accept, or decline.
The Codex Rosales
Definition: The Codex Rosales is the list of official rules and/or laws of the Regency of the Rose. This includes the Rules of Rose, The White Petal Pillars, and The Regency Oath.
Rules of Rose
The Rules of Rose is the official (though subject to change, by the Regency, upon popular vote) list of color correspondences for the tokens given to those chosen for "wish fulfillment." Most of the "rules" are derived from 19th century "flower language" tradition. However, some have been changed and/or created by the Regency for their own purposes.
Some examples may include:
Red: True Love
Pink: Grace, Desire, Passion, Youth
White: Loyalty, Secrecy, Humility
Blue: Mystery, Magic, The Impossible
The White Petal Pillars
The White Petal Pillars are the values by which the Regency conducts their business and/or lives. They are as follows:
LOYALTY
Loyalty and drive are the fuel that keeps the Regency fire burning. Loyalty to other Regents and loyalty to the cause, above all else, is essential. The Regency considers its business of the GREATEST importance. Therefore, those uncommitted "need not apply."
SECRECY
It is very important that "Regency business" retain the UTMOST secrecy. This is not because the Regency is hiding some malicious intent or skeletons in the closet. It is to protect the interests of the Regency and the freehold. Common knowledge about how the Regency operates may spawn jealously, envy, competition, or worse, for those the motley chooses to bless with their gift(s).
HUMILITY
While pride in and of the Regency is encouraged among its members, individual pride in the Bestowment (the gift, or "wish" granted), in other words "claiming all the credit for the team's effort," is STRICTLY forbidden. The Regency was founded to help others, to give, not receive.
The Regency Oath
allegiance to the Regency of the Rose
and its noble purpose.
The Codex Rosales shall be, not
only my motley code of conduct,
but my personal list of
laws and boundaries. I
shall honor it as it is
written today, and how
it may be written in
the future.
I shall conduct my life, as
it pertains to the Regency,
according to the White Petal Pillars,
which I shall hold, always, like
a rose, close to my heart.

Raggedy Emily
Her time in Arcadia had taken a toll on her, but she maintained her hope.
More than anything else, this beautiful girl wanted to help others, her desire was to join the Regency of the Rose.

Rumors
- It is said that the founder, James Morton, hopes to, one day, reorganize the motley, insuring its members an official entitlement.
- I heard once, from someone claiming to be in the know, that there is a position, a thorn if you will, among these roses. This "thorn" is the Prick who deals out Black Roses, the wishes the soft hearted member of their garden of delight fair not attempt to grant.
