Physical description:
Mask: Attractive with pale skin and pale blue eyes with dark black hair containing a few streaks of gray.
Mien: Jack's skin is white, sparkling when it catches the light. His hair contains only the faintest traces of the black it once was, having largely turned a shocking white. The smell of a crisp, cold morning surrounds him and at times the subdued glow of candles can be seen around him.
Dress: Jack dresses in a fashion that is particularly out of date. He is almost always seen with his skull-topped cane and top-hat. He wears long dark coats and carries an assortment of crystals, bones, insects, and other mystical devices on his person.

0015 AC: Escapes Arcadia
1997 AD: Returns through the Hedge.
1999 AD: Exhumes his father's grave and defiles the corpse in a fit of uncontrolled rage.
2000 AD: Takes on the name 'Spooky Jack' and begins traveling, telling horrific sideshow tales.
2001 AD: Arrives in Fayetteville, AR and joins the Freehold of the Hidden Leaf.
2002 AD: Forms the motley known as the Spooksies.

Spooky Jack has a reputation amongst the less savory crowds as a bearer of urban legends. Indeed, Jack seems to know the legends before they become legend, and many speculate that he has some hand in their creation.

Background:
Jacob Tillinghast was born to a poverty income family. His parents were never very attentive of him, his mother having her head lost in mystical things and fantasy delusions and his father being an abusive drunk. Jacob grew up in a hard life, moving from trailer park to trailer park throughout Louisiana and Arkansas as his parents sought enough work to get by.
In school, Jacob was picked on. The other kids made fun of him, and it didn't take very long before Jacob made the connection between the abuse of his peers and the abuse of his father. Jacob learned how to turn the tables. He became the bully. He would torment and threaten the other children, telling them that he would place a spell upon their family or threatening to reveal their dirty secrets. Jacob quickly became known among the school staff as a problem child. He spent a good deal of time in detention and suspension for his deeds, missing out on the education that most other children were receiving.
Jacob did have his mother's books and ramblings though. As he entered into high school, Jacob began picking out other students, one with the look in their eye for something more. He formed a small occult group. The school system frowned heavily upon this, but Jacob had long since lost his sense of authority, having never received the proper tutelage from his parents. The other members faltered, but Jacob could always use is persuasion or intimidation to keep them in his hands.
It was one night in the woods, when the group was attempting to call forth a greater power to do their bidding, that Jacob was taken. Something came to the group then, a terrible thing. They all fled. They were all found by the police later, but some of them were not who they seemed. Some of the children, including Jacob Tillinghast, had been taken.
In Arcadia, Jacob was given a new name, Jack. His keeper began to mold him, shaping him into a creature of light and beauty in a place of horror. He was told that he was an experiment, that no matter how beautiful a thing may seem it can contain the most terrible of depths. Jack discovered that his light did little to comfort, but only revealed the more horrific of the sights around him and cast shadows to fuel the imagination. Jack did all he could to survive his time in Arcadia, even if it meant another had to go to the flame for him. Survival is all that Jack had ever known.
Jack returned to the mortal world in 1998. Somehow, during his time in Arcadia, he had discovered the truth of his abduction, that his father had sold him for a night of lust. Enraged, Jack traveled, seeking his father, but all he found was a grave. Jack unearthed what remained of his father and took his frustrations out on the rotten flesh. He never discovered what happened to his mother.
Lost and alone, Jack seethed upon all that had gone wrong in his life. He began to terrorize others, instilling in them a fear of the unknown, making them glimpse but a piece of the world he had seen. Jack always told himself that it was for their own good, to keep them from the hands of the things beyond the Hedge, however, in truth, a deep seed of envy for those things that others had that he could never have burned within Jack. He would never have the love of a family, the caring of friends, or the safety of a true home, so why should anyone else sleep peacefully in the night.
Just as in his childhood, Jack began to gather together others like him to fill the minds of others with dread and fear.
