Physical description:
Mien: Shaggy and ungainly, Sam has many of the traits of a big, friendly, none-too-bright hound dog. A closer look shows the scars of a life of danger and hardship, as well as the canny alertness of a hunter.
Mask: A big, hairy, broad-shouldered, stocky guy with a pronounced Southern accent, Sam always seems to be carrying food somewhere in his pockets.

Basic Timeline:
Sam tells a variety of tales about his origins, some downright contradictory. He seems to have been taken as a teenager somewhere in the southern United States, possibly Paducah, KY, to have returned a few years ago, and to have been wandering ever since, trying to make contact with the escapees who formed the nucleus of the Dominion of Domdaniel.
Current Activities:
Having located Domdaniel and his court, Sam is trying to find his role in their group. His wanderlust keeps him on the road from time to time, which sometimes leaves them with the responsibility of looking after the Briarwolf cubs Sam rescued from the Hedge.
