Physical description: The thick and corded muscle of his arms and the soot and grease stained hands make the fact that he is a Smith plain to anyone who cares to look.

Known History

Basic Timeline:

1977- Born to Dr. and Mrs. William Tanner in Cincinatti, OH; 1993- Graduated High School at 16; 1997- Graduated College; 2001- Completes residency and begins work at University of Cincinatti hospital; 2005- taken; 2007- Crosses along with a group of other changelings and arrives in Bloom town;

Current Activities: He is kept busy working as a volunteer paramedic and firefighter, mechanic, and part time sculptor. He recently transformed into a smith and noone is sure why.

Merit Details: He has contacts and allies within the Bloomington P.D. from his work as a paramedic and firefighter.

Background: Tanner is actually quite secretive about his background. He makes it clear that he attended UC and worked for the as a surgeon but the specifics are generally not revealed by him.

Durance: His knowledge of his time there is very thin and dreamlike but he dreams of gears, mirrors, a strange gravedigger, and a certain grizzley death by a mob of strange creatures.

Escape and Ramifications: The first thing that he remembers clearly after being taken is drinking in a bizzare bayoo biker bar in the hedge with the ogre Stephen and the two bareley escaping being tortured or eaten.
