The Cherry Wood Tavern is a place where the changeling of Muncie can safely stay, receive a warm cooked meal and lounge amongst each other telling tales, doing business, and the like.

Description

Known among the changeling as Kingsley’s Place or as he likes to call it, The Cherry Wood Tavern. Wooden doors, big enough for a giant, bar the entrance and exit into the tavern; but once in the sight is like no other. Soft green grass spans the floor and the walls are made of rich black cherry wood. On one wall stands a beautiful fireplace made of the same wood and black quartz. On the other stands an opening to a small lounge and more seating. The walls are molded with aging brass vines and every few feet hangs a brass lantern with a flickering candle inside of it. In a corner stands an aged phonograph and from its brass bell it sings the music of its heart’s desire. A tall ceiling looms overhead with beams like branches, as if carved from a giant tree; and the walls are littered with paintings both far and near of places met and places dreamed.

The tables and chairs are made of rough chiseled stone and yet they are as comfortable as the softest chair. Mouth watering smells of rich tasty foods fill the rooms as a huge wooden door swings to and fro. From its way comes a huge giant of stone carrying plates of warm, steaming food. He places them upon the tables and with a rocky grin he watches the owners’ eyes twinkle with the coming feast. Succulent plates of roasted hog, mead battered buzzard wings and dragon breath chili. As the patrons dig into their feast, the giant places before each a bucket sized goblet of goblin fruit wine and with a hearty laugh be bellows back through the huge wooden door.
