The Inn of the Lost Home
the Freehold of Cresting Waves
the city of Gulf Breeze, Florida
Amidst the constant layer of paranoia, fear and uncertainty which subtly permeates the air of the mortal city of Gulf Breeze, there are a few locations wherein the Lost population can find comfort, solace, relaxation and relative safety from their daily cares.
One such location is situated deep within a particular Hollow of the jungle-like local Hedge. The Hollow is thick with huge trees and a dense forest of brambly undergrowth. The one (known) entrance from Earth into this safe haven is closely and jealously guarded, both by its proprietor - Solstice of the Autumn Court - as well as those who have previously found peace and protection within its walls.
It is know as the Inn of the Lost Home, and visitors are usually struck at once by its size, then perhaps by it's unique architecture. Inside it is huge yet homey, constructed of sturdy oak and cypress and huge panes of Victorian-green glass, all build around the principle of circles and ovals and oblongs and spheres. There are always delicious smells coming from the kitchens, and a warm cheery fire to soothe the soul. Gazing out of the large windows to the surrounding jungle-like Hollow below, one might be brought next to marvel at how it was managed to be built in the short three years in which Solstice has been in residence of Cresting Waves; or how she managed to build in the protective embrace of the gi-normous branches of an impossibly huge oak tree.
But then her voice calls to you, and her unique smell of chocolate and pumplin spices fills the room, and you dutifully totter off to wash up before dinner.
Refuge from the Cold
(More Coming Soon)
Those who find their way to the Inn are immediately and warmly welcomed - if you've managed to make it this far past its defenses then you apparently know a guy who knew a guy, who has already made sure you are who you say you are, and therefore you CAN'T be anyone else, right?
Refugees and guests alike are offered - and are expected to uphold - the finest in hospitality. There is always a clean bed, warm food and the finest stout to be found this side of Gainesville. There is a roaring fire and quiet understanding, and when you've a chance to recover from the rigors of your travels there is always a shoulder to lean on and an understanding ear.

Payment for Services Rendered
(More Coming Soon)
There is a fee for those visiting the Inn, either as guests or the newly escaped from their Keepers. To some it is the most dreaded price that can be asked, but even amid all the bellyaching and bemoaning of their circumstances, EVERYONE helps out... with the dreaded Chores.
There are always dishes to be washed, meals to be cooked, linens to be changed, pantries to be restocked, and laundry laundry laundry! New dishes and tankards can be carved if one is adept at woodworking, and if someone wants to tinker with stone-aged contraptions then one of the three stoves is almost ALWAYS on the fritz. One of the extended stay tenants is even experimenting with a garden, curious to see if the growing mundane seeds within the confines of a Hollow will yield proper produce.
There is rumor that Solstice will also accept the payment of hearing the stories of those who come to the Inn. Be they bittersweet or terrifying, adventurous or disastrous, as long as they are true to the best of the tellers knowledge then she wants to hear them all.
Rules and Regulations
There are few rules within the Inn - no brawling unless it's just fun horseplay, no spitting on the floors unless you fully intend to mop the whole floor afterwards, do NOT - 'accidentally' or otherwise - find yourself in possession of something that rightfully belongs to another guest, always carry your dishes to the kitchen when you're through, laundry not set out by 9am will just have to wait until tomorrows load, and please be respectful of the other Lost who are in residence... remember, you were once that jumpy and skittish, too.
There is one exit from the Inn into the clearing below, and those who are brave of heart may of course go exploring - as long as you don't mind shimmying through a narrow, roughly hewn stairway that was carved down, down, down through the core of the tree itself. There are torches set in the walls above you, but please do be careful - there may still be impossibly huge spiders to go with this impossibly huge tree... And if you do go exploring, expect no sympathy should you bite off a chunk of a monster which proves too big for you to chew. The only things on the Earth-side of the Hedge that Solstice has ever been known to show the least amount of ill will towards are the dust bunnies under your bed, liars, cheaters, and anyone who is foolish enough to bring danger or unwanted hostilities to her Inn.
The Inn of the Lost Home has traditionally (and fiercely) upheld the ideal of Hospitality, and all within it's walls are protected from most of the... less savory... elements of Changeling society that may also patronize the establishment.
... Though, if you happen to see a little troll of a man still eyeing your possessions with a hungry glint, politely remind him that Solstice says she hopes he is well - then take private delight at the grimace that is sure to pass his face as he moves along about his business.
